Portland, ME Flower Delivery by a Local Florist

The nearest pages to this one sit right next door: South Portland, ME, Westbrook, ME and Falmouth Foreside, ME. With neighbors that close, a city line is easy to cross without noticing, so the ZIP on the recipient's mail matters more than the name they say out loud. Few addresses here are rural; most orders go to apartments, offices, hospitals and houses on numbered streets, where a unit or a department does the job a mailbox number does in the country.

Same day flower delivery in Portland needs the order placed before 1 PM Eastern time. Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, between 9 AM and 7 PM, with no Sunday delivery. Flower orders also go to cities of the same name in Oregon, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania and North Dakota, so check that the summary reads Portland ME, with a Maine ZIP such as 04101 or 04103, before paying.

Sympathy pieces bound for Conroy-Tully Crawford

Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home is one of the funeral homes in the city, and funeral flowers in Portland for a service there should be addressed to the funeral home itself, with the family surname and the service date in the instructions. A standing piece or a wreath belongs at the service; a vase design or plant suits the family's house afterward.

Order a day ahead for a morning service, and remember that Sunday is not a delivery day, so a Monday service needs flowers ordered by the end of Friday or placed early on Saturday. The card should carry your full name and a few words about how you knew the family, since they may read dozens of cards in one afternoon. Portland Jewish Funeral Home is another name in the city; for a service there, ask the family first whether flowers are wanted, since some families prefer a different gesture.

A Maine College of Art and Design address

Maine College of Art and Design is a private college in the city, and flowers for a student there need the student's full name, the residence hall or building, and a room number if there is one. For a graduation in Portland or the opening of a student show, a delivery to the student's apartment or dorm is often easier than aiming for the event itself.

Hospitals follow similar logic. For a patient at Northern Light Mercy Hospital, give the full name and the unit, and check first that flowers are allowed on that ward; some units do not take them. Mainehealth Maine Medical Center works the same way: the patient's name, the unit, and a quick check with the family that the patient has not already gone home. A card for a student, meanwhile, is best kept light, a line about the show, the thesis or the finished year, signed the way the family always signs.

Next door in Westbrook or Falmouth Foreside

Some recipients give the city as home when their mail reads a neighbor's name, and each of those neighbors has a separate page on this site. Portland flower delivery covers a long list of ZIP codes, 04101, 04102, 04103 and several more, so copy the one from the recipient's mail rather than picking the first. To send flowers to Portland proper, keep one of the city's ZIP codes on the order. The city is the seat of Cumberland County, ME, whose page gathers the towns around it, and York County, ME begins over the county line.

With 68,405 people counted in 2020, Portland, ME flower delivery covers a lot of apartment buildings, so the unit number and any entry code belong in the delivery instructions. There is no flower shop in Portland behind this page; the order is placed here and a local florist makes it.

Portland florists and the stems they swap

A florist in Portland works from the stems available on the day, so individual flower types may be substituted. Nothing else moves: the arrangement keeps its size, its shape and its value, and the florist keeps it as close to the pictured design as possible. Specify the colors you want rather than one exact variety, unless that variety is the whole point. For a hospital room, where space is tight, choose a smaller design from the start; the size you pick is the size that arrives.

Your Portland arrangement in one picture

After the florist finishes the design, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you at no extra charge. It shows the actual flowers, the real size and any substitution, which is reassuring for a sender far away. For a birthday or a new baby, it is also something to share with the rest of the family. A busy ward or a funeral home may have no time to confirm a delivery by phone, so the photo is often the clearest sign a distant sender gets.

If something is wrong, raise it in the first three days after delivery, when a replacement, a refund or a partial credit can follow. Browse the arrangement catalog to order flowers, and for flowers delivered elsewhere in Maine, use the Maine delivery page. Flower deliveries into the rest of the county start from its page above.
