Mound Bayou, MS Flower Delivery, Made by Hand

Sorting a Mound Bayou order from the towns around it

Flower delivery in Mound Bayou, MS begins with the address on the card. This small Mississippi city has 1,534 people (2020 figures), most of them in houses and small properties, so a street name and ZIP 38762 tell a florist more than any landmark could.

Three other towns turn up in the same searches. Shelby, MS and Renova, MS are separate delivery areas, and Cleveland, MS is a third. If the recipient's mail is addressed to one of those places, place the order on that page instead. An order meant for Mound Bayou MS should say so plainly.

Because the four sit close together, a sender working from an old address book can easily mix them up. Reading the town and ZIP back to the recipient before paying takes a minute and saves a bouquet arranged for the wrong area.

Same day flower delivery in Mound Bayou depends on placing the order before 1 PM Central time, counted on the recipient's clock. A sender on the East Coast therefore gets a little more of the afternoon than someone in the Mountain states, who must order earlier by their own watch.

Delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available, so a Sunday occasion is served by an order that arrives on Saturday. Order flowers a day ahead if the date cannot move, because Mound Bayou flower delivery has no Sunday run to fall back on.

Who gets flowers at a Mound Bayou house address

The whole city fits inside less than one square mile, so a trip within its limits is a short hop compared with the county roads beyond. That compact layout suits the delivery window: flowers are carried between 9 AM and 7 PM, and an address inside town rarely stretches the range.

Flower deliveries are carried to the door, so a recipient who works weekdays may not be home at midday. Ask for an afternoon or evening arrival if you like, knowing it is a request and no hour is guaranteed, or give a workplace address and let the flowers meet them there.

A florist in Mound Bayou or one close by puts the bouquet together, and a photo of the finished arrangement is sent afterward at no extra charge. A sender in another state sees what was really made, which matters when the gift stands in for a visit.

Senders who think first of a flower shop in Mound Bayou find a different arrangement here. The florist makes the bouquet and carries it to the door by hand, rather than mailing it in a box, and the flowers delivered are the ones in the photo.

For a porch or a front room, a medium vase is the usual fit. A small plant lasts longer for someone who will not have time to refill water.

Past the Mound Bayou line and into the county

The city is part of Bolivar County, MS. The county page covers the wider area, and Rosedale, the county seat, is a separate delivery area at Rosedale, MS. Benoit and Shaw are other towns in the same county.

Most of the 28,395 people in the county live outside the city, so a recipient described as near Mound Bayou may have a rural route address that belongs to another town entirely. Ask for the mailing address rather than directions to the turn-off.

Beyond the county line, Coahoma County, MS has a page for addresses there. A relative who has moved across that line is looked up on that page instead, and the clock for that order is still Central time.

The full run of Mississippi towns is on the statewide delivery list, which helps when one family is spread across several places and each order needs its own town. Funeral flowers in Mound Bayou follow the same rule: the page for the place where the service is held decides the order.

Signing the card for a Mound Bayou doorstep

A card is where a surprise delivery either makes sense or raises questions. The message goes in the order notes, and a few plain lines work better than a paragraph.

Name the relationship as well as the sender: a cousin, a former coworker, a neighbor from the old street. The person answering the door often has only seconds to place the giver.

A birthday bouquet for a friend in Mound Bayou needs only a warm line and a signature. Funeral flowers need the family name and the place and time of the service, so a Mound Bayou florist can match the card to the right arrangement.

When you send flowers to Mound Bayou from far away, the card carries your voice across the distance. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, but the size, shape and value of the arrangement stay the same. Browse the bouquets and plants and pick a size that suits the room. A plant suits someone who will not remember to refill a vase, because it forgives a missed day.
