Scandia, MN Flower Delivery, Hand-Delivered

Where this address sits in the county

Scandia is one of the towns of Washington County, MN, and the seat of that county is Stillwater. Because Wisconsin borders this part of Minnesota, a sender ordering from that side should check that the order says Minnesota before paying, since flowers aimed at the wrong state cannot be redirected once they are made.

Two ZIP codes serve the city, 55073 and 55047, and both belong to flower delivery in Scandia, MN. An envelope that reads Scandia MN 55073 or 55047 is a match, and the recipient's own mail is the best reference when someone is unsure which code applies.

Orders placed before 1 PM Central time can be delivered the same day, Monday through Saturday. Sunday delivery is not available, so a late Saturday order waits for Monday, and a Friday order that misses the hour lands on Saturday at the earliest.

Anyone comparing the town with those around it should start from the mailing address. A florist builds for the address written on the order, not for the name people use in conversation.

Why Scandia orders spread out

The town recorded 3,989 residents in 2020 over nearly thirty-five square miles, so a delivery order here often goes to a house set well apart from its neighbors rather than to a compact street grid.

For a rural address, the delivery window between 9 AM and 7 PM is wide for a reason: a florist may need time between stops, so a request for one exact hour cannot be promised. Write the mailbox number or a short description of the driveway on the order.

Where a house is hard to spot, a line in the order notes saves a phone call later. Birthday flowers for a country farmhouse should say which door is used, since a front door on a country lot is not always the one people knock at.

A plant or a low arrangement also survives a long rural delivery better than a tall bouquet. Flowers delivered over a longer distance are easier to keep upright in a sturdy vase, which is worth thinking about when choosing the size.

Towns that may be closer to the door

The nearest towns with their own delivery links are Marine on St. Croix, MN, Forest Lake, MN and Chisago City, MN. For a recipient on a rural route, the mailing address, not the map, decides which town's link to use.

Hugo, MN and Wyoming, MN also come up when relatives describe where someone lives. Chisago County, MN and Anoka County, MN border Washington County in Minnesota, for a sender whose recipient is on the other side of a county line.

Someone typing flower shop in Scandia will not find a counter to walk into here, only a florist near Scandia who builds each order by hand and sends it out to the address. To send flowers to Scandia, pick from the catalog.

Making the card explain the gift

A card is the only part of a bouquet that can speak, so write it for someone who has never seen your handwriting: who the flowers are from, and why, in a few words. Order flowers with that card and the gift does not need a phone call to explain it.

Congratulations on a new baby and a thank-you after a favor need the same thing, a message that can be read in one glance from the doorway. Flowers for a new baby in Scandia are easiest to place when the card names the parents.

Sympathy flowers to Scandia households should carry the family's surname and a short line of condolence. Flowers for a service follow the details the family has published, and the order should repeat them.

When the florist finishes, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent at no extra charge, so the sender can see the card beside the flowers. If a flower type had to be swapped for what the florist had on hand, the size, shape and value stay the same.

Orders to a workplace near Scandia

Businesses near Scandia have front desks and closing times. A workplace order should carry the company, the department and the person at reception, and it should arrive while someone is there to accept it.

Same day flower delivery in Scandia depends on the 1 PM Central time hour, so an order for an office is better placed in the morning. That leaves the window room before closing.

An arrangement for a desk should stay small. Flowers delivered to a shared office are easier to place when they are low and wide, and the photo lets the sender check the size first.

When the building keeps the door shut

Apartments, gated communities and buildings with a front desk share one risk: the recipient is home, but the flowers cannot reach the door. Put the unit, the building name and entry instructions on the order, since the person carrying the flowers has no other way in.

If a desk will accept the flowers, say so on the card so the recipient knows where to look. A florist in Scandia or near it can hand the arrangement over only to someone who is there.

Scandia flower delivery to a building with a lobby goes more smoothly when the recipient has been told to expect them. For other towns in Minnesota, use the Minnesota page.
