Sorrento, LA Flower Delivery, Same Day by Hand

Checkout is the first of four steps. A florist near the recipient reads the address and the card, and arranges the flowers by hand in their container. The design is carried to the door and handed over. Then a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you, the last step and the one that tells you the flowers turned out the way you hoped. You never have to guess what a stranger to the town received in your name. Sorrento flower delivery runs on that sequence for every order, from a small birthday bouquet to a funeral piece.

Ascension offices and a Donaldsonville order

The town is part of Ascension Parish, LA, and the parish seat is Donaldsonville, LA. Flowers for someone at the courthouse or a parish office go on a Donaldsonville order, placed for a weekday, since those offices close at the weekend.

The parish page lists Prairieville and the other Ascension towns we reach. Livingston Parish, LA borders Ascension and has a page of its own, as do several other neighbors, so a family scattered around the area may need orders on more than one page. Each order still needs its own town and ZIP to line up.

For someone who works in another Ascension town, a teacher or a nurse for instance, the workplace address counts, not the home one. Flowers go where the person will actually be between 9 AM and 7 PM, and a building name and department on the order help them reach the right desk.

Sorrento house numbers and ZIP 70778

At 1,524 residents in 2020, on about three and a half square miles, most flower orders here go to houses, with a few bound for small businesses. Mail in the area may use 70778 or 70737, so copy the ZIP from the recipient's own mail rather than guessing; a label reading Sorrento LA 70778 is the usual form.

Add a phone number and a note about which door the family uses. Flowers delivered here arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM and are handed to someone, so if the recipient works out of town, a workplace address may suit the day better. For a birthday in Sorrento, a desk bouquet at work gets seen by more people anyway. A Louisiana summer afternoon is hard on anything left outdoors, so name someone who will be home if the house is the target.

Gonzales, Union or Lemannville on the mail

Gonzales, LA has its own page, and so do Union, LA and Lemannville, LA. If the recipient's mail uses one of those names, order from that page rather than this one, even if the family thinks of the whole area as home. For a recipient who has just moved, ask for the new ZIP; mail forwarding does nothing for flowers.

A Sorrento florist or one a short drive away makes each design by hand, whichever of these towns it goes to. Someone who searched for a flower shop in Sorrento can use any of these pages the same way: choose the design, enter the address, write the card. Flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday across all of them, with no Sunday service, and same day flower delivery in Sorrento needs the order in before 1 PM Central time.

When the florist is short one flower

Stems vary from week to week, and the florist may not have every variety in a design on a given morning. When that happens, flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, choosing something close in color and value. None of that touches the design as a whole, whose size, shape and value remain exactly what you paid for. A florist in Sorrento or nearby keeps the substitute as close to the original as possible, matching the color first.

If one flower is the whole point, say sunflowers for someone who loves them, mention it when you order so the request travels with it. It helps the florist choose well, even though no single stem can be promised. The same rule applies to every design on every Louisiana page, so there are no surprises in the fine print.

The Sorrento photo that closes the order

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you at no extra charge once the florist has made it. It is the real design, not a catalog picture, so it shows any substitution and the exact colors that went out. For a sender who lives far away and will not see the flowers in person, that picture is the gift as the recipient saw it. Save it; it is useful if the recipient mentions the flowers later, or if something looks wrong.

Flowers are perishable, so a problem should be reported in the first three days after delivery; the options then are a replacement, a refund or a partial credit. Order flowers with that in mind for a trip: if you will be away, pick a delivery day when you can still check your messages.
