Donaldsonville, LA Flower Delivery by Hand

Donaldsonville is the seat of Ascension Parish, LA, while Gonzales and many of the parish's newer subdivisions lie some distance away. Assumption, St. James and Iberville parishes all border it, and towns such as Belle Rose, LA and Paincourtville, LA sit just over the parish line. A sender who does not know the area can easily type the wrong town, and flower deliveries to the wrong town lose an afternoon. Same day flower delivery in Donaldsonville works for orders placed before 1 PM Central time, and the design arrives that business day between 9 AM and 7 PM.

The courthouse side of Ascension

The parish holds 133,534 people, and as its seat, this town keeps the courthouse and the parish offices. Flowers for someone who works there need the office or department on the order and the person's full name, so the front counter knows where to carry them. The parish page lists the other towns, and across the line, Assumption Parish, LA covers Belle Rose and Paincourtville.

The 2020 census counted 6,686 people in Donaldsonville itself, on under four square miles, so orders here go to older houses, apartments, shops and offices in fairly equal measure. Nearly every address in town uses ZIP 70346, which makes the street number and the name on the mailbox the details that decide where the flowers go.

Chateau D'ville residents and their flowers

For someone living at Chateau D'ville Rehab and Retirement, the resident's full name is the most important line on the order, followed by the room if the family knows it. Staff sign for flowers at the front and walk them in. A small vase design or a plant suits a shared room, and a resident who has been there a while often enjoys something that lasts, so a plant is worth a look.

For a longtime resident, flowers that echo a garden they once kept at home, or a color they always wore to church, can mean more than anything in the latest style. Keep the card short and clear enough to be read from arm's length. If the resident's memory is uncertain, sign with the relationship as well as the name, such as your oldest grandson.

Prevost Memorial Hospital room deliveries

For a patient at Prevost Memorial Hospital, put the full name on the order and the room if the family knows it. A compact design is easier on a bedside tray than a big one, and some units limit flowers for medical reasons, so a quick call to a relative first saves a wasted order.

Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available in Louisiana on this service. A patient admitted on a Saturday afternoon will see flowers on Monday; if the stay is short, sending to the house for the homecoming may be better. A plant that can move from the hospital windowsill to the kitchen table later is a practical middle ground, and it keeps going long after cut stems would have faded.

Signing so a Donaldsonville reader knows you

Your typed message is what appears on the card. A first name suits a parent; for a friend from school or a coworker, add a last name or how you know each other. For a birthday in Donaldsonville, one bright line is enough. A card for a new baby can carry both parents' names and a welcome for the little one; a thank-you to a nurse or a teacher should say what you are thanking them for, since they help many families. Funeral flowers in Donaldsonville need the full name of the one being mourned and the service time in the notes.

Donaldsonville desks, departments and weekday hours

Reception usually signs for workplace flowers and carries them back. The company or office name, the department and the recipient's full name all belong on the order, and a weekday is the safe choice. When coworkers order flowers together, one card from the whole department saves a stack of little notes. For a courthouse or parish office, security at the entrance may hold deliveries at a desk, so add a phone number for the recipient in the notes if they are happy to share it.

A florist in Donaldsonville or nearby builds each design, and flower types may be substituted with what the florist has on hand, without changing the size, shape or value. A photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you once it is made. A flower shop in Donaldsonville is not what sits behind this page; florists near Donaldsonville make each piece by hand, and the Louisiana page leads to the rest of the state.
