Raceland, LA Flower Delivery for Distant Senders

What time is too late to order from far away? For flower delivery in Raceland, LA, the line is 1 PM Central time, on the recipient's side. Senders on Eastern time get a little slack, since their clocks already show 2 PM at that moment, while a sender on Pacific time has to act in the morning, around 11.

Orders placed before 1 PM Central time can arrive the same business day, between 9 AM and 7 PM. That is the whole mechanism behind same day flower delivery in Raceland. Delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available, so an order that misses Saturday's hour is delivered on Monday.

A local florist arranges each design by hand, and the finished piece is carried in rather than shipped in a box. Once it is made, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you at no extra charge, which matters when you are hundreds of miles away.

Lockport, Mathews and a Raceland card

The community sits in Lafourche Parish, LA, which counts 95,342 residents and keeps its parish seat in Thibodaux. The census counts the community itself as a census-designated place with 9,768 people over 21.568 square miles, so flower orders here go to houses spread well beyond any center, to apartments and to workplaces, and the name on the mail is what counts on the order.

Nearby, Mathews, LA, Lockport, LA and Bayou Blue, LA each have their own delivery pages. If a relative's letters carry one of those names, use that page; the ZIP printed on the envelope decides who delivers. A letter addressed Raceland LA 70394 means this page is the right one.

Relatives elsewhere in the parish, in Thibodaux, Larose or Galliano, are covered from the parish listing, and families across the line in Terrebonne Parish, LA from theirs. Parish offices keep their hours in Thibodaux, so a thank-you for someone who works there needs that address.

On an address this spread out, flowers delivered to a house may come early or late in the window. A note about the driveway, a gate or the side door helps. An order to an office should name the business on the first address line and the department on the second. Kraemer and Lockport Heights are listed close by as well.

Raceland flowers bound for Louisiana, not Kentucky

There is also a Raceland in Kentucky, and a quick search can send a flower order there by mistake. Before paying, check that the order reads LA, not KY, and that the ZIP is 70394. The Kentucky town uses a different ZIP entirely, so 70394 on the order is proof enough.

A Kentucky address with the same town name will look almost identical on a checkout screen, so the state and ZIP fields are the only real check. If a relative only gave you the town name, ask for the full address line from a piece of their mail.

Flowers for a patient at Ochsner St Anne General Hospital

Ochsner St Anne General Hospital is the hospital in town. Flower deliveries there go to the main entrance, and the order should carry the patient's name as registered and, if you know it, the room or unit. Some units, such as intensive care, may not accept flowers, so a quick call to the family first saves a wasted order.

Patients are sometimes discharged sooner than expected. If the stay may be short, send the flowers to the house instead, timed for the first days home. Hospital flower deliveries arrive within the usual window; a specific hour may be requested, never promised. A compact arrangement fits a hospital tray table better than a tall vase.

Get well flowers from far away also ease the worry of not being there: the photo sent after the arrangement is made shows you what reached the room.

An anniversary sent from out of state

For an anniversary in Raceland, order the day before if you are two or more hours behind Central time, and choose the date at checkout. That way the flowers arrive on the day itself, whatever your own clock says.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change in the size, the shape or the value of the arrangement, so a romantic design keeps its look even if one variety changes. A Sunday anniversary is covered on Saturday. If the couple lives down a long drive or behind a gate, mention it in the notes so the arrangement reaches the door, and remember that a card naming the year and one shared memory is worth more than a bigger bouquet.
