Barataria, LA Flower Delivery, Arranged by Hand

Barataria at the parish edge

Flower delivery in Barataria, LA starts with the parish. Barataria lies in Jefferson Parish, LA, where Gretna is the seat and 427,253 people live; the parish page links its many communities, from Avondale to Grand Isle, for orders beyond this one.

The distance to the nearest towns with their own pages is short, but addresses here can be spread along roads rather than packed on a grid, so the order needs the house number and the road name exactly as the mail carries them.

Lafourche Parish, LA and Plaquemines Parish, LA border the parish and keep their own pages.

Same day flower delivery in Barataria runs on Central time. Orders placed before 1 PM Central time arrive that business day between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. A sender on Eastern time reaches the cutoff at 2 PM.

A community of 1,057 on the order

Barataria counted 1,057 residents in 2020 across 4.285 square miles, so nearly every order goes to a house, and ZIP 70036 with the street and number is the core of the address.

It is unincorporated, a census-designated place, so use the town name the recipient's mail carries. A contact number on the order helps if a house sits far off the road or behind a gate.

Mail for some houses in the area may carry a neighboring town's name, and the hand delivery follows whatever the mail says.

Barataria flower delivery to a house off a side road needs the same care: the road name as it appears on the mail, the house number, and a phone number in case the place is hard to find.

Florists near Barataria make each design by hand, and a person looking for a flower shop in Barataria finds the ordering side here, with a Barataria florist or one nearby doing the arranging.

Jean Lafitte and Estelle close by

If the recipient's envelope reads Jean Lafitte, LA or Estelle, LA, order from that page instead, since the town and the ZIP should match the mail.

Woodmere, LA has its own page as well.

An order for a grandparent in Woodmere and one for a cousin here can go out together, each from its own page, and each is still made by hand and carried in.

A birthday in Barataria and a thank-you to a friend in Estelle are two orders with two addresses and two cards; both can go out the same day.

Those neighbors are close enough that a family may give either name, so an old envelope or a bill is the quickest way to settle which town and ZIP to type.

The swap that keeps a Barataria design whole

Every design is made by hand from the flowers available, and sometimes one shown in the catalog picture is missing. Flower types may then be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement.

A basket stays a basket and a tall design stays tall. The replacement flower is chosen to stay close in color.

Care goes into keeping the look close to the catalog picture, so the recipient sees the design you chose rather than a random handful of stems.

If something is wrong with a 70036 delivery, report it within three days of it arriving; a replacement, a refund or a partial credit can follow.

What the picture tells you

Once the florist has finished the arrangement, a photo of it is sent to you at no extra charge. It shows the actual piece going to the address, with any substitution visible.

For a sender far from Louisiana, the picture is the one look at the gift. It is worth keeping if you plan to send again.

Siblings who split the cost of a gift often want to see it too, and the photo is easy to forward. It also answers the question of whether a plant or a vase would suit that house better next time.

One week of color or months of green

Cut flowers give the most color for about a week. A potted plant lasts much longer and suits a recipient who travels or who is recovering.

A plant also handles humid weather and a busy household better than a vase that needs fresh water every couple of days, which makes it a sensible get-well gift for someone who lives alone.

For an anniversary or a dinner party, cut stems; for a new home or a long illness, a plant. Sympathy flowers to Barataria families often take the form of a plant for the house, while a larger piece goes to the funeral home with the deceased's name and the service time.
