Westminster, LA Flower Delivery, Made by Hand

Westminster, Inniswold and Oak Hills Place

Westminster sits inside East Baton Rouge Parish, LA, where Baton Rouge serves as the parish seat. The parish takes in a long list of communities, and several of them sit so close together that a recipient may name a different one depending on who asks. Inniswold, LA and Oak Hills Place, LA are two that get mixed up with this one, and Baton Rouge, LA itself is next door.

That matters for flower delivery in Westminster because the order is sent to a street address, not to a neighborhood name. Get the house number, the street and the ZIP from the recipient or from a recent card, and the town label becomes a detail.

The parish also borders Livingston Parish, LA and Ascension Parish, LA, both with their own delivery pages. If the address turns out to sit in one of them, start there instead.

Checking a Westminster order against the map

The same town name turns up in California, Maryland, Colorado, South Carolina, Texas and Ohio, and a flower order begun from a search result can drift to any of them. Several of those are much larger places, so they tend to rank first.

Before you send flowers to Westminster, check two lines in the order summary: the state should read Louisiana and the ZIP should read 70809. If either one is different, the bouquet is headed somewhere else. A same day flower delivery in Westminster also depends on that check, since a corrected order placed after the cutoff moves to the next delivery day.

The cutoff is 1 PM Central time in the recipient's zone. From a Mountain time desk that is noon; from the West Coast it is 11 AM.

Addressing a home in 70809

Westminster is census-designated rather than incorporated, so it has no town hall of its own, and the delivery address for a home here may carry Baton Rouge instead. For flower delivery in Westminster, LA, write whichever town name the recipient uses on their own mail, paired with 70809. Both lead the florist to the same door.

About 2,791 people lived here in 2020 on roughly a square mile, which means most delivery addresses are houses and apartment complexes packed close together. For an apartment, include the building letter and unit number; for a house, the street number is enough. Deliveries arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and there is no Sunday delivery.

Roses or a softer mixed design

An anniversary card should be short and specific. Name the year, a trip, or the first apartment, and let the flowers do the rest. Red roses remain the standard, but a mixed design in blush and white suits couples who find roses too formal.

Florists near Westminster make each arrangement by hand, and flower types may be substituted for what is on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value. If a particular color matters for the anniversary, write it on the order so the florist can keep to it. A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once it is made.

To order flowers for a Westminster anniversary that lands on a Sunday, pick the Saturday before. The arrangement will hold its shape for the evening that follows. If your partner works odd hours, a morning arrival can be requested on the order so the flowers are there when they wake.

Home from surgery, with flowers

Recovery at home goes easier with flowers that ask nothing of the patient. A plant needs only a little water; a small vase arrangement brightens a nightstand without taking over. Strong scents can bother someone who feels unwell, so lilies may be the wrong pick, and a gentle mix of roses and greenery is safer.

Include a card that says who it is from in plain words, since a person on medication may not place a nickname. If the recipient is staying with family, put the family's address and name on the order.

A florist in Westminster or nearby handles the order, and anyone looking for a flower shop in Westminster to walk up to will find that this page does the same job from a distance. Funeral flowers in Westminster work the same way, sent either to the chapel or to the family's house.

Graduation weekend in the parish

High school and college graduations bring a burst of flowers delivered to homes across the parish. The graduate's house is almost always the right address, because a ceremony venue is crowded and hard to deliver into.

For a party on Saturday, ask for the arrangement to arrive that morning. For a Sunday ceremony, the Saturday before works, since the flowers will still be fresh. Flower deliveries for a graduation dinner at a restaurant need the restaurant's name, the name the table is booked under and a time, and the time is a request only.

A graduate who has moved into an apartment near a campus may prefer the flowers there; ask before assuming the family home. Browse congratulations bouquets and choose a size that fits the room. Other parts of Louisiana are covered from the state page, and Westminster LA orders stay on this one.
