Jefferson Flower Delivery, Not a Box, LA

Where Jefferson stops and Elmwood starts

Shipped flowers arrive packed flat and need unpacking, trimming and a vase before anyone can enjoy them. Flower delivery in Jefferson, LA skips that step, because a florist builds the arrangement in its container and a person brings it to the door, which counts for a lot in a place where one block can look much like the next.

This community shares its edges with others that go by their own names, among them Elmwood, LA, Bridge City, LA and Metairie, LA. Neighbors often say they live in one while their mail uses another, so the order should carry the town that appears on the recipient's own letters, with ZIP 70121 if that is what those letters show.

All of these communities belong to Jefferson Parish, LA, a parish of 427,253 people with its courthouse in Gretna. The parish page lists Harahan, Westwego, Kenner and more, so a second order for a relative elsewhere in the parish can start there, and St. Charles Parish, LA has a page for addresses past the parish line.

A bouquet meant for Louisiana's Jefferson

An order can go astray here because towns with this name exist in Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Oregon, Wisconsin, Iowa and Maryland, plus the Carolinas, West Virginia and South Dakota, and a search typed in a hurry can open the wrong page and send the flowers a long way off.

Before paying, look for Jefferson LA in the page heading and for ZIP 70121 on the address line. A bouquet made up in the wrong state stays in the wrong state, and no phone call can move it back to Louisiana once a florist there has built it.

A sender who wants to send flowers to Jefferson in this parish should start from this page, where every design is arranged close to the recipient and hand-delivered the same way as anywhere else in the state.

Apartments, duplexes and short blocks

A 2020 headcount of 10,633 people in a small footprint means orders here go to streets of houses, duplexes and apartment buildings, and most need a unit number as well as the street. The community is census-designated rather than incorporated, with no city hall of its own, so the name on the recipient's mail is the one to copy onto the order.

For an apartment, add the building name if there is one, the unit, any gate code and a number where the recipient can be reached. Deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. An hour that suits the recipient can be requested in the notes, though no exact time can be promised.

Care homes need their own care. At Jefferson Healthcare Center or the Ochsner Medical Center Skilled Nursing Facility, write the resident's name as the staff would say it and a room if you have one, and keep the design small enough for a shared bedside table.

Same day flower delivery in Jefferson needs the order in before 1 PM Central time, which is 2 PM for someone ordering from the East Coast and noon for someone in the Mountain states.

Who it's from, in plain words

Cards get read by people who never saw the order form. Sign with the name the recipient actually uses for you, and add a last name or a relationship if there is any chance of a mix-up, such as your cousin on your father's side or the neighbor from the old street.

Birthday flower delivery in Jefferson reads better with the occasion named in the first line of the card, so the message still makes sense if the flowers come a day off the date. The same goes for cards with funeral flowers in Jefferson: name the person who died and how you knew them, since the family may be sorting dozens of cards later.

The card holds a few lines, so save a longer letter for the mail.

Sending to a desk job instead of home

Workplace orders usually go to a reception desk rather than into someone's hands. List the company, the floor and the department, and give the recipient's name the way it appears on their badge, so the front desk knows who to call.

Offices close on weekends, and a Saturday delivery to a business can find a locked door, so pick a weekday when you order flowers for work. Compare the delivery window against the office's own hours, too, since some front desks empty out early.

A florist in Jefferson makes the arrangement and it is carried inside, not left at a loading dock. People comparing a flower shop in Jefferson with ordering here get the same hand-tied work, and florists near Jefferson handle substitutions openly: if a flower type is short, a similar stem takes its place with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement. A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once it is made, and the full catalog and the Louisiana towns list show where else flower deliveries go and how flowers delivered across the state are priced by size.
