Dellwood, MO Flower Delivery Made by Hand

Flowers meant for Ferguson, not Dellwood

Flower delivery in Dellwood, MO covers addresses in ZIP 63136 and ZIP 63135. The city has close neighbors with pages of their own, among them Ferguson, MO, Castle Point, MO and Calverton Park, MO, and a recipient who says the house is near here may actually live in one of those towns.

Read the street address on the invitation, the envelope or the last thank-you note before choosing a page. If it belongs to a neighboring town, use that town's page instead. The florist who arranges the bouquet works close to the place where it will be delivered, and the ZIP on the order is what tells that florist where the flowers go.

Flowers ordered for Dellwood MO can also end up in the wrong place, because MN and WI each have one of their own. When an order is typed on a phone late at night, the state field is the one most easily skipped, and the result is flowers delivered to Minnesota or Wisconsin. The order summary should read Missouri and one of the two ZIPs above before payment.

People who look up a flower shop in Dellwood find an ordering page, not a counter to stand at. A florist in Dellwood or one close by makes the arrangement by hand, and the recipient gets it at the door. Flower delivery works the same way whether the sender is across town or across the country, because florists near Dellwood take each order by street address.

Finding the right page for a Dellwood order

Dellwood belongs to St. Louis County, MO, and the county seat is Clayton. That county has a page that gathers its towns in one list, which helps when a family is spread over several suburbs and each bouquet needs a different street.

Neighbors across the county line have pages as well: Franklin County, MO on the Missouri side and Madison County, IL toward Illinois. A sender who knows only the county can start there, then come back to place flowers for the town once it is confirmed.

Same day flower delivery in Dellwood depends on the clock in the recipient's time zone. An order placed before 1 PM Central time can be delivered that afternoon, Monday through Saturday, between 9 AM and 7 PM, and Sunday delivery is not available.

For funeral flowers in Dellwood, the notice names the chapel, the hour and often the family; copy all three onto the order. Sympathy orders follow the same Monday through Saturday schedule, so a service on a Sunday needs flowers that arrive the day before.

A square mile of apartments and houses

The 2020 population of 4,907 lives on 1.035 square miles, which shapes the orders: mostly houses on ordinary streets, with apartment buildings and offices where a unit number matters. The recipient's street address does most of the work, and a landmark adds little.

A florist cannot ring every bell in a building, so put the unit number on the order and name the person who will sign for the flowers. A name at the front desk helps more than a wish for one hour of the afternoon.

After the florist makes the arrangement, a photo of the finished piece is sent to the sender at no extra charge. Flower types can be substituted for what that florist has on hand, but the size, shape and value of the arrangement do not change.

Flower delivery in Dellwood also reaches offices, and orders headed for one should carry the company name and the hours the place is open. Deliveries are made between 9 AM and 7 PM, and a locked door at six in the evening helps nobody.

Sunday is the birthday, Sunday is closed

A birthday that falls on a Sunday has two good answers, because Sunday delivery is not available. One is to send the bouquet for the Saturday before, with a card that calls it an early birthday. The other is to order flowers for the Monday after and let the card say it took a day longer to reach the house.

Either way the order follows the same rule: placed before 1 PM Central time for delivery that same day, with the window between 9 AM and 7 PM. An hour that suits the household can be asked for in the notes, though the florist cannot be held to it.

Birthday bouquets read best when the card carries something only the sender would write, such as a nickname or a joke from years back, set down in a line or two.

Newborn flowers for a Dellwood household

New-baby flowers are mostly a matter of timing the delivery for when the family is actually home. Hospital stays and first days back rarely follow a schedule, so ask the parents for a day, or send a few days after the return.

A compact vase arrangement sits easily on a kitchen counter between bottles and blankets, while a large plant may be one more thing to water. To send flowers to Dellwood for a new baby, browse the arrangements by size and lean toward the smaller end.

Put the baby's name and the parents' names on the card, and mention in the notes if the house has a sleeping newborn, so that a knock at the door is not a surprise. Other towns in Missouri are on the Missouri delivery page, and flower deliveries there follow the same rules.
