The manor and Ellett Memorial Hospital both receive flowers. Put the resident's or patient's full name on the order, add the unit or room if you know it, and say whether flowers are allowed where the person is staying.

A small arrangement sits better in a shared room than a tall one. Funeral flowers in Appleton City go to the funeral home or the church, while get well flowers go to the hospital or the manor, so the order should say which kind it is.

Delivery to either place falls between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and a patient who is moved to another room should be named by full name.

Signing for a small town

A card in a small town gets read aloud. Write who you are to the recipient, add one sentence about the occasion, and leave off the long poem. The florist copies the text as typed, so check the spelling of the recipient's name before you pay.

Flower types can be substituted for what the local florist has, with no change in size, shape or value. A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist is done, so the sender can see exactly what the card is riding with. Order flowers with a card line you would say out loud.

The office counter and the department name

A workplace delivery is easiest when the order names the business, the department and one person. A reception desk may take the arrangement and pass it on, but it may also close early, so give a home address as a backup in the notes.

Flowers delivered to a workplace are usually for a retirement, a promotion or a get well wish for a coworker. Order a day ahead for an event, and treat a same-day order as a bet on the 1 PM Central time line.

Buzzers, stairwells and front desks

Apartments need the unit number, and some buildings need a name at the front desk. Put both on the order. A florist who arrives at a locked entrance cannot guess which buzzer to press, and a delayed hand-off helps nobody.

Send flowers here for a tenant and mention the building entrance. Ask for a preferred hour in the notes if it matters, but expect a request, not a guarantee. Other towns across Missouri have their own pages.

Two households, two orders

A single order with several items to one address is charged one delivery fee, while several addresses mean several orders. A family sending flowers to two relatives in town should place two separate orders, each with its own card.

The catalog shows each design, so a group can pick a matching pair for two households. A birthday bouquet for one cousin and a plant for another travel well on the same afternoon, but each order stands alone.

Senders anywhere in Missouri or beyond can place both orders in one sitting, each with its own notes and its own card.
