Smithton, IL Flower Delivery by a Florist

Smithton IL flowers, not Missouri ones

There is a Smithton in Missouri as well as this village in Illinois, and the two are easy to confuse for someone placing an order in a hurry. Before paying, check that the delivery form reads Illinois and one of this village's ZIPs, 62220 or 62285. The return address on last year's holiday card will answer both questions.

An order meant for the Missouri town is made by a florist there and never reaches a recipient here, so the minute spent checking the state is worth it. Flower delivery in Smithton, IL depends on that check more than on anything else.

Missouri also matters for delivery in another way: some relatives live across the state line, and their flowers need a different order. A home in St. Louis County, MO needs an order from that county's page, so a florist near the recipient makes it. If the recipient moved from Missouri recently, their old address may still sit in your contacts; ask for the new one before you order.

The clock is the same on both sides of the line: an order placed before 1 PM Central time can be delivered the same day, and a later one goes out on the next delivery day. A sender in the Pacific zone meets that deadline at 11 AM.

Freeburg, Belleville and other St. Clair towns

Belleville is the seat of St. Clair County, IL, with 251,149 people, and this village is one of its towns. If the recipient's mail goes to Freeburg, IL, Belleville, IL or Millstadt, IL, start from that town's page instead, so the ZIP and the arrangement match the actual house.

Smithton flower delivery for relatives in several towns means one order per address, each with its own card. The county page lists the other St. Clair towns, which helps when one weekend brings orders for two or three places.

Sympathy flowers to Smithton for a service held in Belleville or another town go to that address, not to the house. Ask the family which funeral home is handling the visitation, and send a vase design to the house a few days later if you want something they can keep. When the visitation is held on the Missouri side, the order starts from that county's page instead, because the service address decides where the arrangement is made.

A florist in Smithton or nearby arranges each piece by hand, and it is carried to the door, not shipped. A flower shop in Smithton is not needed to get flowers into a house here; the design is chosen from the arrangement catalog and made close to the recipient.

Where Smithton orders actually land

The village had 4,007 residents in 2020 on about four and a half square miles, so most orders go to houses, with some to apartments and offices. Add the unit number for an apartment, and for a business, its name and the department.

Deliveries arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. A specific hour can be asked for, but it cannot be guaranteed; for a surprise, pick a day when someone is sure to be home.

If the house sits down a private lane or behind another building, a short note about which turn to take belongs in the order. Smithton flower delivery to a workplace should name the company and a department, and it lands on a weekday, since plenty of offices sit empty on Saturday.

For a new baby, wait until the parents are back from the hospital before sending, then keep the card to a line or two. A vase design arrives in water and needs no attention from tired hands. For a housewarming, a plant fits the occasion better than cut stems.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, but never the size, shape or value of the arrangement, and a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you once it is made.

Signing off so nobody has to guess

To send flowers to Smithton for a birthday or a thank-you, write the card as if the recipient knows three people with your first name. Add your last name, or a line like "your grandson" or "from the book club," so there is no guessing at the door.

For a birthday, say which one if it is a milestone; for a thank-you, name what you are thanking them for. Short cards read better than long ones. If several people are sending together, sign as the group, "from all of us at church" or "from your old team at work," so the recipient knows it is a shared gift.

For a get-well card, skip the details of the illness and write about what comes next: a visit, a meal, a walk once they are up again.

For sympathy, sign with your full name and a line about how you knew the person, so the family can thank you later. Same day flower delivery in Smithton with a clear card is the simplest way to be present when you cannot be there in person.

Order flowers for other towns from the Illinois delivery page; flowers delivered anywhere in Illinois follow the same Central time rule, and flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday. A Smithton florist makes every piece by hand.
