Sleepy Hollow, IL Flower Delivery by a Florist

Keeping a Sleepy Hollow IL order in state

A search for flowers can land on the wrong state here, because the same village name is used in Wyoming, California and New York as well. Before paying, confirm that the delivery form shows Illinois and ZIP 60118, the one ZIP this village uses.

Flower delivery in Sleepy Hollow, IL starts with those two details. A card or letter the recipient mailed you will confirm the street, and if the ZIP on it is anything other than 60118, the house belongs to a neighboring town and should be ordered from that Illinois town's page.

The clock is the other thing to get right. An order placed before 1 PM Central time can be delivered the same day; later orders go out on the next delivery day. For a sender on the East Coast, the Central deadline is 2 PM on their own clock, which leaves the whole morning to decide.

Front doors across ZIP 60118

Sleepy Hollow flower delivery reaches a village of 3,205 residents as of 2020, on about two square miles, so most orders go to houses, with fewer to apartments or home offices. Add the unit number for an apartment, and for a business, its name and the floor. A home office counts as a house for the order; add the business name only if the flowers are for the company rather than the person.

Deliveries arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. A particular hour can be requested for a surprise at the door, but it cannot be promised, so pick a day when someone is likely to be home.

A florist in Sleepy Hollow or close by arranges each piece by hand, and it arrives in water, ready to set on a table, rather than packed in foam. A flower shop in Sleepy Hollow is not where the order waits for pickup; it is a delivered service, and a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you after it is made.

Gilberts, Elgin and other Kane addresses

The village sits in Kane County, IL, where Geneva is the county seat and 520,997 people live. If the recipient's mail goes to Gilberts, IL, Carpentersville, IL or Elgin, IL, start from that town's page so the ZIP and the arrangement match the house.

Some families live across the line in McHenry County, IL, which has its own page, and a local florist working there makes the arrangement. The county page lists the other Kane towns, which helps when one weekend brings orders for relatives in two or three of them.

Sympathy flowers to Sleepy Hollow for a service held in Elgin, Geneva or another town go to that address, not to the house. Ask the family where the visitation will be, and send a vase design or a plant to the home afterward if you want something they can keep.

Sleepy Hollow anniversaries, remembered on time

An anniversary is one of the easiest reasons to send flowers to Sleepy Hollow from far away. Pick a design sized for the dining table, put the year on the card, and let the couple enjoy it before any dinner plans.

If the date falls on a Sunday, the Saturday before is the usual choice, since there is no Sunday delivery. Near Valentine's Day the same-day cutoff can be earlier, and the same is true in the weeks around Easter, Christmas and Mother's Day, so a romantic order in those weeks goes in a day ahead.

A romantic gesture does not need a date on the calendar. Flowers on an ordinary weekday, with a card that says why, often land better than the ones everyone expects.

Get-well flowers for the first week home

For someone recovering at home, a small vase design or a plant is easier to care for than a large piece that needs trimming and fresh water. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, but never the size, shape or value of the arrangement.

Flower delivery in Sleepy Hollow for a get-well gift works well a few days after a hospital stay, once the patient is settled on the couch, rather than on the first day home, when the house is busy. Keep the card light and short.

If the patient is still in a hospital elsewhere, send it to that address and include the room number. A card that mentions a planned visit or a shared meal to come gives them something to look forward to once they are back home.

Caps, gowns and a vase on the table

For a graduation party, send the arrangement to the house rather than the school, and aim for the morning of the party or the day before. A vase design that can stand on a buffet table holds up through an afternoon of guests.

Same day flower delivery in Sleepy Hollow depends on ordering before 1 PM Central time. For a Saturday party, order on Friday to leave room for any question about the address.

A Sleepy Hollow florist delivery can be chosen from the arrangement catalog, and the school colors can be mentioned on the card. The Illinois delivery page lists other towns for flowers delivered to relatives, and flower deliveries run on the same Monday to Saturday schedule. Order flowers early in graduation season, when many families are sending at once.
