Charleston, IL flower delivery near campus

Six more Charlestons to rule out

Flower orders for this city sometimes land in the wrong state, because towns called Charleston also exist in West Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Before paying for flower delivery in Charleston, IL, check that the order says Illinois and the ZIP is 61920. That single check is the most useful thing a sender can do for a delivery here, and it takes seconds.

Some senders type only the city name into a search and click the first result. Look for the Illinois state line and the Coles County name on the order page before you pay; both confirm the flowers are going to the right city.

Same day flower delivery in Charleston depends on one hour: orders placed before 1 PM Central time can arrive that afternoon, Monday through Saturday. Illinois has no Sunday delivery on this site, so a weekend gift goes out on Saturday.

Dorm rooms and offices on the EIU campus

Flowers for a student at Eastern Illinois University need more than a street address. For a residence hall, include the hall name and room number, plus the student's full name as the university has it on record.

For a faculty or staff member, add the building and department. Campus offices keep shorter hours than the full window, so a morning order works best for flowers delivered to a desk.

Graduation and the end of a term are busy moments. A card with your name and the occasion makes it clear who sent the flowers when a student gets several at once, and a small vase design fits a dorm shelf better than a tall one.

Move-in and move-out weeks are hard for campus orders, because students change rooms. If the term has just started, confirm the room number with the student or a friend first.

Houses, rentals and care rooms in Charleston IL

With 17,280 residents counted in 2020 on nearly nine square miles, Charleston flower delivery goes to houses, student rentals, offices and care residences. That mix means the address details matter more than in a small village.

Charleston Rehab and Nursing receives flowers for residents; include the resident's full name and room if you know it. Arrangements arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, and a time can be requested but not guaranteed. Flowers delivered to a care residence should be modest in size, since rooms and bedside tables are small, and a low vase or a plant is the usual choice.

The city is also the seat of Coles County, IL, where the county page lists towns such as Mattoon, IL and Ashmore, IL. For relatives in the next county, the Douglas County, IL page is the place to start.

Whose name goes under the message

Sign the card so the recipient knows at once who thought of them: your full name, or how you are connected, such as a parent, a roommate or a former colleague.

An anniversary card for a couple in Charleston reads better with one specific memory than with a long paragraph. A birthday line can be as short as a wish and a nickname.

Sympathy flowers to Charleston usually go to the funeral home for the service, with a short condolence and your name. A plant for the family's house can follow in the week after.

Parents sending a care bouquet to a student often forget that roommates will read the card too. Keep it warm and simple; a line about finals or a first year finished is plenty.

A desk, a counter or a clinic

An office delivery needs the business name, department and the recipient's full name. Many offices close well ahead of evening, so an early order is safer when you order flowers for someone at work.

A florist in Charleston would need the same information, and so does the local florist who handles your order: a clear address and someone at the front who can accept the arrangement. A retail job with a counter works too, as long as the store name is on the order.

Schools, clinics and county offices in the seat all have their own front desks. Give the building name the way staff would say it, and put the department first, so the arrangement goes to the right floor.

A thank-you to a coworker or congratulations on a promotion suits a smaller desk arrangement, since counters in shared offices fill up quickly.

Apartment buzzers and front desks in Charleston

Student and other apartments need the unit number on the order. A front desk that takes parcels will often take flower deliveries too, though every building has its own rules. Rentals near campus change tenants each year, so confirm the unit if the lease is new; an address from last spring is the most common problem with student orders.

A flower shop in Charleston is what many people expect to find; here, a local florist arranges the design by hand and brings it to the door. Senders comparing a Charleston florist with a shipped box get something different: an arrangement already in water.

Each time you send flowers to Charleston, a photo of the finished arrangement comes to you at no extra charge. If a flower is short, a similar one is used with no change in size, shape or value. Browse the catalog or see other towns on the Illinois page.
