Dubois County, IN Flowers to the Door

Nursing Home Corridors and Hospital Wings

More deliveries here go to a staffed desk than to a front porch, and that changes what the order has to carry. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center and Cathedral Health Care Center are both in Jasper, Mission Behavioral Health Hospital is in Huntingburg, and Scenic Hills at the Monastery is in Ferdinand. For any Dubois County address like those, the resident's full name and the room or wing matter more than the street does.

A room number is the single most useful line on an institutional order. Without it, a reception desk has to find the recipient before the arrangement can be handed over, and a delivery run that has ten more stops on it cannot wait. St Charles Health Campus and Brookside Village are two more Jasper addresses where a wing name saves real time at the door.

There is an unusually deep list of named care and hospital addresses here for a county this size in Indiana, and it changes the odds on a delivery. More of these orders end at a reception desk than on a doorstep, which is good news for the timing and bad news for a note that leaves out the room. Waters of Huntingburg is another where the wing matters.

Home addresses want different information. The six ZIP codes are 47532, 47541, 47542, 47545, 47546 and 47549, and the right one decides which florist takes the order on. Beyond that, a unit number where there is one, a contact number for the recipient where there is not, and a note about a gate or a rear entrance cover almost every case.

Funeral Flowers and Where They Go

A sympathy order is the one kind where the sender is working to somebody else's clock. Becher-Kluesner Funeral Homes is in Jasper and Nass & Son Inc Funeral Home is in Huntingburg, and each keeps its own schedule, so the first step is to confirm the day with the family and the second is to order ahead of the service rather than on the day of it.

Where the piece goes matters as much as when. An arrangement for the service goes to the venue. An arrangement for the family goes to the house, and it will usually still be wanted a week later when the flowers at the service have gone. If a Dubois County delivery arrives looking wrong, three days is the window in which to say so, and the outcomes are a replacement, a refund or a partial credit.

Choose the Arrangement, Then the Note

Deciding the shape before the stems is the shortcut most senders skip. A tall piece needs floor space and a low bowl suits a bedside, and a contained arrangement travels better to a desk than a wide spray does. The range we deliver is shown at the size each piece arrives in, which makes that judgment quick, whether the address is in Jasper or out at the far edge of Dubois County.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has available, with no substitution in the type of arrangement: no change to the size, the shape or the value of the piece ordered, and the utmost care taken to keep it close to the item chosen. The card message is the other half of the order and the half that gets rushed. It is worth a minute more than most senders give it.

Birthdays, Congratulations and Get Well

Some occasions tolerate a day either side and some do not. A birthday and a first day in a new job do not; a congratulations or a get well arrangement usually does. For the first group, order the day before. For the second, a same business day run inside the cutoff is comfortable enough, especially for an address in or near the seat.

A get well order raises the same question every time: is the recipient still on a ward or already home. A ward in Dubois County wants something compact for a small surface, and a house can take a piece that needs a vase and a table. Timbers of Jasper is another address where a room number does more good than any instruction about timing.

The Eastern Cutoff and the Same Day

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time reaches the recipient the same business day. Eastern is the zone this part of the state keeps, and the clock that counts is the recipient's, not the sender's. From two time zones away the real deadline is late morning at home, which is the detail an out of state sender most often gets wrong.

Deliveries run Monday through Saturday and land between 9 AM and 7 PM. Sunday delivery is not available anywhere we cover in Indiana, so an event on a Sunday needs the flowers there the day before. A preferred hour can be asked for but not promised. The same-day cutoff can sit earlier than one in the afternoon through Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter, and that holds for Jasper and Ferdinand alike.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has made it up, at no extra charge, and for a sender in another state it is the only part of the delivery they actually see. It arrives after the handover rather than before it, so it is proof rather than a preview, which is what makes it worth having.

Four Towns Under a Single Page

Four towns in Dubois County have pages of their own. Jasper is the seat and the largest, Huntingburg is next, and Ferdinand and Holland are smaller again. Each page carries the ZIP codes and named places that belong to that town rather than to the county as a whole.

Six counties border Dubois County. Daviess County, IN adjoins it on one side, Spencer County, IN reaches it on another, and Warrick County, IN shares a third edge. Perry County, IN, Crawford County, IN and Orange County, IN each have a page too, and the full list for the state is at Indiana flower delivery by county.
