Flowers Into Tazewell County, IL

Tazewell County runs 646 square miles from the river at East Peoria down to the farm ground at Delavan, and the drive between those two ends is the reason an address here needs a ZIP on it. Sixteen towns and eighteen postal areas sit under this page, with Pekin at 61554 holding the courthouse.

Get Well Flowers, Birthdays and Congratulations

A birthday can move by a day and an anniversary cannot, so the anniversary is the one to place early. A get-well piece for somebody on a ward at Carle Health Pekin Hospital beats no clock at all, which makes it the easiest order on the list. A congratulations piece for a workplace at Morton is easier again, because somebody is at a desk all day. A birthday at a house in Tremont can slide to the Monday and nobody minds.

Thank-you flowers carry no deadline and are the ones most often sent smaller than they should be. A locker top beside a hospital bed holds a bowl and not a vase, while a hall table in a house at Washington holds either. Every design in the arrangement pages is shown at the size it goes out at, which is the fastest way to settle the question, and a sender in another state can judge scale from it rather than from guesswork. Pekin Manor and Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin both take work at a front desk under 61554.

Tazewell County, Sixteen Towns and 646 Square Miles

Around 129,800 people live here and the bulk of them sit along the river at the north west end, while the south and the east are farm country, which is typical of this part of Illinois. That split is what a delivery run has to work around. An address at Tremont or out at Green Valley is a drive, and an address at Marquette Heights is a few minutes. Sixteen towns is a long list, and Tazewell County holds ten named addresses across them. The ground south of the river is row crop, and a house on it takes real driving time.

Eighteen ZIP codes cover the county, and 61554 at Pekin, 61550 at Morton and 61611 at East Peoria are the three with the most named addresses on them. Past the line, Peoria County, IL holds the far bank of the river and Woodford County, IL the ground away to the north east. The Illinois county index lists the rest.

Apartment Numbers, Ward Doors and Farm Lanes

An apartment at East Peoria needs its unit number, and a ward at Hopedale Hospital needs its ward. Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care Center takes arrangements at a front desk, and a resident's full name is what stops one waiting in a corridor for an afternoon. Washington Senior Living under 61571 works the same way, and so does Arcadia Care Morton. A room number is what gets a piece off reception and up to a bed on the same visit.

Out on the farm lanes the postal code does the work. A house at Minier or at Deer Creek is found by house number and ZIP rather than by a description of the turning. Where nobody is home through a Tazewell County afternoon a workplace beats a doorstep, and a step in full July sun is the worst option on the whole list.

Sympathy Flowers and Where the Family Gathers

A funeral fixes an hour that belongs to the family, and the chapel is nearly always the right address rather than the house. Standing work needs to be there while the room is being set out, so the morning of the service is the target. There is no funeral home listed on this page, so the family is the source for which chapel is handling it. A chapel out at Mackinaw and one at Pekin keep different hours, so the family is the right source for the time as well.

Where a resident has died at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton or at Timbercreek Rehab and Health Care Center in Pekin, the flowers follow the service and not the home. A piece for the family house is better a week later, once the callers have thinned out and there is room on a surface for something other than dishes.

Cutoff Hours for a Same-Day Arrival

An order placed before 1 PM Central time reaches a Tazewell County address the same business day, and after that hour it goes out the next working day. Flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available, so a Sunday service at a chapel here has to be covered on the Saturday, which makes a Saturday order the last chance of the week. Arrivals land between 9 AM and 7 PM.

That hour is counted where the flowers land rather than where the order is typed. A sender on the west coast is working to an 11 AM deadline at home, and one on the east coast has until mid-afternoon. In the weeks of Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter that same-day hour can come earlier still, and a preferred hour can be requested though never promised. The clock on the wall at 61554 is the one that decides it.

Substitution, and the Three Things That Hold

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, and a February order into 61554 is where a sender is likeliest to meet it. Three things hold regardless: the size, the shape and the value of the arrangement are exactly as ordered, and the substitute stem is chosen to sit as near the original as the day's stock allows. The photo sent afterward is where a substitute stem becomes visible.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has made it, at no extra charge, so a sender in another state sees the substitution rather than reading about it. Flowers are perishable, which is why a complaint has to arrive inside three days, and the answers on the table are a replacement, a refund or a partial credit. Tazewell County, IL runs on the same terms as the rest of Illinois.
