Hays, KS Flower Delivery from a Local Florist

Bouquets for Good Samaritan Society residents

Good Samaritan Society - Hays is one of the most common destinations for orders from families who live out of state. For a resident, put the name staff use, the room or apartment if you know it, and a line in the notes if the flowers mark a birthday. A smaller vase or a plant sits better in a shared room than a tall spray, and it is easier for staff to move.

Deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM, and care residences generally have a front desk across those hours, which makes them easier than a house where nobody may answer. A card that says who it is from, in the name the resident knows you by, lets staff read it aloud if needed.

Ellis the town versus the county around Hays

The city is the county seat of Ellis County, KS, and that name trips people up: Ellis, KS is also a separate town with its own ZIP and its own page. A recipient who says they live in Ellis may mean the town or just the county. Check the ZIP on their mail before you order flowers, because 67601 belongs here and the town of Ellis has its own.

Victoria, KS is the third town in the county and has a page too, and anything else in the state is reached from the Kansas list of towns. There are towns of the same name in Montana and North Carolina as well, so a quick look at the state on the order keeps the flowers in Kansas.

Hays Medical Center flower deliveries

For a patient at Hays Medical Center, include the patient's name as the hospital has it and the room if you know it. Some units do not accept flowers or plants, so a short call to the family first saves a wasted order. If the patient may be discharged soon, sending to the home address is safer, and a get well card reads just as well on a kitchen table.

A student at Fort Hays State University needs flowers delivered to a hall and room, or to a building and office for a staff member, at an address where someone is in during the day. For a graduation, the apartment where family is staying often works better than campus. Funeral flowers in Hays may go to Hays Memorial Chapel, one of the places a service is held; send the arrangement there with the deceased's name and the hour in the notes.

A missing stem, a matching swap

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand. If a particular stem is short that morning, the florist uses another that fits the design, but there is no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement. A round vase stays a round vase, and a large order stays large.

This is how a florist in Hays or nearby makes an arrangement the same day without waiting for a shipment. Substitution is also why the photo matters: you see what was actually made. People who came looking for a flower shop in Hays get the same process online, with the catalog showing each design at each size.

A picture of the design, for the record

Once the local florist has made the design, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you at no extra charge. For a sender who cannot be there, it answers the obvious questions: which colors were used, how full it is, what the card sits beside. If something looks wrong in the picture, raise it quickly, since cut flowers do not wait.

Same day flower delivery in Hays needs the order in before 1 PM Central time. On Pacific time that is 11 AM, on Eastern time 2 PM. Delivery runs Monday through Saturday, with no Sunday delivery, so a Sunday birthday is usually sent on Saturday. To send flowers to Hays for a birthday weekend, place the order on Friday or Saturday morning.

Potted plant or a vase of stems

A city of 21,116 people at the 2020 census, spread over under nine square miles, receives flower deliveries at every kind of address: offices, apartments, family houses, hospital rooms. Cut flowers in a vase give the biggest effect on the day, and they suit an anniversary or a thank-you. A potted plant lasts weeks and asks for little care, which is why it suits a hospital recovery or a family after a loss.

For a dorm room, a plant or a small vase is kinder than a tall arrangement. For an office, a medium vase that sits on a reception counter works well, with the department named on the order. A florist in Hays makes each of these by hand. Florists near the county seat handle Hays KS flower delivery for every one of those addresses, and flower delivery in Hays, KS follows the same terms as the rest of Kansas.
