Flowers Across Lauderdale County, TN

A Birthday Piece for Ripley

Lauderdale Community Hospital takes flowers at reception rather than at the bedside, so a birthday piece for a patient wants the person named on the order rather than the room. Lauderdale Community Living Center handles arrivals the same way.

A birthday arrangement for a house at Ripley is a different decision. The catalog of designs sorts by occasion ahead of flower type, and height is worth settling before color when the room is already known.

A thank you piece and a new baby piece raise the same question about the setting, and in a county of three towns the answer is usually a house rather than an office desk. Lauderdale County is not a place with many front desks to leave things at.

Same Day Orders at Henning

Order before 1 PM Central time for same-day flower delivery to any of the three Lauderdale County ZIP codes, 38063 at the seat and 38041 at Henning. A sender an hour ahead of that line runs out of day earlier than expected.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across the 472 square miles of Lauderdale County, Sunday delivery is not available at any of its addresses, and pieces land between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Where a service at Henning, TN falls on the Sunday, it is the Saturday run that has to arrive with the flowers. A particular hour can be requested on the order form, and a florist will work toward it without promising it.

This is the western edge of Tennessee, and the ground between the three towns is flat farm road rather than ridge, which makes an early order more useful than a precise one.

Apartment and Office Addresses at Gates

An apartment at Gates wants the unit number spelled out, because a building name on its own leaves a piece at a door nobody opens. An office wants the employer beside the recipient name.

Ripley Healthcare and Rehab Center asks for the resident name for the same reason. About 24,630 people live in this county, and a road written out in full settles most of what is left. A house number without it is thinner than it looks.

Each of the three towns keeps a page of its own with the ZIP codes and named places that belong to it, which is a shorter way in for a sender who already knows the town. Lauderdale County is the page for everything above them.

Substituted Stems, Same Outline

Flower types may be substituted for whatever the florist nearest Ripley actually holds, with no change to the size, the shape or the value of what was ordered. The swap is narrow: one variety for another of similar weight and color.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes to the buyer at no extra charge, which for an order sent into 38037 from the far side of Lauderdale County is the only view of the piece.

The Tennessee delivery index lists every county the state builds, and Dyer County, TN begins to the north while Tipton County, TN lies to the south.
