Same Day Flower Delivery Skidaway Island, GA

If you are ordering from another part of the country, start with the recipient's clock, not yours. The recipient in Georgia is on Eastern time, and same day flower delivery in Skidaway Island needs the order placed before 1 PM Eastern time. A sender in the Central zone reaches that line at noon; in the Mountain zone it comes at 11 AM, and on the Pacific coast at 10 AM.

Past that hour, the gift is held for the next delivery day. Deliveries run Monday through Saturday and arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM; Sunday delivery is not available, which turns a Saturday afternoon order into a Monday arrival. Around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter, the same-day cutoff can come earlier, so a sender far away should order a day ahead for those dates.

A recipient on Dutch Island, not Skidaway Island

Several small island communities sit close by, and people sometimes use one name for another. Dutch Island, GA and Isle of Hope, GA are both nearby, and Montgomery, GA is reached the same way. Skidaway Island flower delivery reaches each of them the same way, with a design built by hand and carried to the door.

The ZIP for island addresses is 31411. If the recipient gives a neighboring community's name instead, check the ZIP before paying, since it decides the delivery more than the town name does.

Skidaway Island GA orders under Chatham

The island belongs to Chatham County, GA, whose seat is Savannah, and the county page covers the other Chatham towns. For a recipient across the county line, Bryan County, GA is a neighbor. Savannah itself and the other island communities nearby are reached the same way.

Flower delivery in Skidaway Island, GA works like anywhere else in the county: a florist from the area makes the design and a person brings it to the address. Flowers delivered to the island still need a precise street and house number, not a description of the neighborhood.

Writing the mailing name on the order

The island is a census-designated place, and deliveries there go to a community of 9,310 residents counted in 2020. With no city government of its own, the island's name and the town printed on a mailing address do not always match. If the recipient is a seasonal resident or a guest, confirm the dates they will be at the address.

Ask the recipient for their address exactly as it appears on a letter and paste it into the order. A florist in Skidaway Island terms is one from the Savannah area, and people searching for a flower shop in Skidaway Island get the same result: a hand-made arrangement delivered by hand.

Putting your name where it cannot be missed

A card signed with a first name alone can leave a recipient guessing, especially when the gift comes from out of state. Close with the name they call you by, plus a surname if there is any doubt, and put the occasion first. An anniversary card that names the year you met needs little else to be recognized.

For a group gift, name the group or list the senders. Birthday flowers for someone on Skidaway Island work well with a card that mentions the actual date, so a Saturday delivery for a Sunday birthday makes sense to whoever opens it.

Office and clinic flowers on the island

For a workplace, add the business name and a contact person. A small office may close for lunch, and a clinic may only accept deliveries at a front desk, so a morning order and a note about opening hours help. For a medical practice, the recipient's role and department help the front desk find them. Flower deliveries during business hours, as with offices elsewhere in Georgia, are more likely to find someone there to receive them.

A Skidaway Island florist delivery to a workplace should also say which floor or suite, if the building has more than one tenant.

Gate lists, guard houses and front desks

If the address sits behind a gate or a guard house, the delivery may need the recipient's name on a visitor list, or a gate code in the notes. Ask the recipient how deliveries usually get in, and write the answer in the notes. Some communities also ask that deliveries use a particular entrance; if so, mention it. Order flowers early in the day when a gate is involved, so there is time to sort out any hold-up.

For an apartment or a building with a front desk, add the unit number and the resident's name, so staff can sign or call up. Funeral flowers in Skidaway Island go to the funeral home ahead of a service rather than to a house.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to size, shape or value. Once the design is finished, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you at no extra charge.
