Bee County, TX Flowers, Hand Delivered

A Funeral at Beeville

Most sympathy work in Bee County goes to the seat. Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville sits there, and so do the two nursing homes, Avir at Beeville and Hacienda Oaks at Beeville, which means a condolence piece and a get well piece often travel the same street on the same run.

Standing sprays belong where the service is held; a smaller vase belongs at the house afterward. Beeville services that fall on a Sunday get their flowers on the Saturday. Give the chapel name and the service hour in the order notes so nothing is left at a locked door.

Birthdays and Thank You Orders at Pettus

Away from the chapels, most of what leaves Bee County is ordinary: a birthday, a new baby at the hospital, a thank you to somebody who fed the dogs for a week. Deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM, so a workday order to a ranch address near Pettus should say who will actually be at the house.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across all three Bee County ZIP codes, and Sunday delivery is not available. An order placed before 1 PM Central time gets same-day flower delivery to a 78102 address in Beeville, which is the single most useful thing to know from out of state.

The hour belongs to the recipient's clock, not the sender's, and that is the detail senders two zones away get wrong. A specific hour can be asked for on the order, though a driver who has Pettus and Skidmore on the same round treats it as a preference rather than an appointment that can be held open.

Substituted Stems, Unchanged Size

Stem types get substituted for whatever is actually in the cooler that morning, and 880 square miles of south Texas ranch country is not a place where every variety turns up every week. The arrangement type holds: a Skidmore order keeps the size and the value it was bought at.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes back to the sender at no extra charge, which for a Bee County address ordered from another state is usually the only picture anyone sees. Flowers do not keep, so the window for saying something went wrong is three days from the drop at Beeville.

Hospital Rooms and Rural Addresses

A hospital room needs the patient's full name and, if you have it, the ward. Front desks at a place the size of Beeville know their patients, but a piece carrying only a room number waits at a counter until somebody works it out.

A ranch address wants a gate name or a mailbox number in the notes instead, and the road a drive comes off is worth more than another line of street. Three ZIP codes cover 880 square miles here, which is a lot of ground for 31,226 people, so a contact for the recipient saves the second attempt that a locked gate otherwise forces.

The four Bee County town pages beneath this one carry their own detail: Pettus, Beeville, Blue Berry Hill and Skidmore.

Every design in the catalog can be sent to any of them, shown at the size it is sold in so a bedside vase is not mistaken for a floor piece. The rest of Texas is listed on the Texas county page. Two counties border this one: Karnes County, TX lies to the north, and San Patricio County, TX runs down toward the coast.
