Flowers Across Valencia County, NM

Valencia County is the wider page, and the village of Valencia is the narrower one; the two are separate pages and the village keeps its own ZIP code and its own list. Seventeen towns, six ZIP codes and about 80,813 people fit inside 1,067 square miles here.

The 1 PM Rule for Los Lunas

An order placed before 1 PM Mountain time is worked the same business day, at 87031 in the seat or at 87002 down in Belen. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and an arrival on the river bottom falls between 9 AM and 7 PM. Sunday delivery is not available at any of the six ZIP codes, so a Sunday occasion is worked on the Saturday.

Because the seat sits on the main north south route, an afternoon order stands a better chance here than it would in a county with no highway through it. Even so, one o'clock is one o'clock, and a sender two zones east has lost the day before lunch.

During Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter the cutoff can fall earlier than usual. Those are also the weeks when the run between the seat and the southern villages is busiest, so a day of notice does more work than any upgrade to the design.

Seventeen Towns Under One Seat

The list runs from Los Lunas at the top through Belen, Bosque Farms and Peralta, then out to the smaller places at Tome, Jarales and Meadow Lake. Every name on it has a page of its own beneath this one.

Seventeen towns is a lot for a county this size, and most of them are small enough that a street address alone is usually sufficient. Rio Communities, Los Chaves and Las Maravillas sit close together in the south, and Adelino, Pueblitos and Sausal fill in between the larger names.

Nearby Villages With Their Own Pages

Valencia County borders four others. Bernalillo County, NM begins at the northern line, and Socorro County, NM takes over south of Belen. Torrance County, NM lies over the eastern line past the mesa, and the rest of the state is laid out on the New Mexico delivery index.

Distance matters less here than in most of New Mexico, because 1,067 square miles is compact by the standards of this state and the towns are strung close together along the river bottom. A florist covering 87031 is not far from 87068 or 87042. What the six day week does cost is the weekend: a Valencia County order placed late on a Friday is a Monday arrival, not a Saturday one.

A New Baby at Belen Meadows

Belen Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Belen and Riverside Funeral Home of Los Lunas in Los Lunas are the two named places in the data for this county, and they call for different work: a low bowl for a bedside table, a standing piece for a chapel.

For a birthday, a new baby or a thank you, the arrangement range is the place to start, and flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand without the size or the value changing. A photo of the finished arrangement follows at no extra charge once it is built, which is how a sender in Valencia County or five states away sees the same thing.
