Visiting hours, rooms and flowers at the hospital

A hospital order should carry the patient's name, the ward and a card the staff can read at a glance. Ask the front desk whether flowers are allowed on the unit, since some wards say no, and whether a plant would be easier to keep in a shared room.

The hospital is listed under the name St Michael's Hospital, and the staff at its desk decide what goes up. If the patient is about to go home, a delivery to the house a day later is often the better gift.
