State College, PA Flower Delivery by Hand

Five ZIP codes, one State College order

State College is a borough of 40,495 people, a 2020 census figure, on 4.556 square miles, and it uses five ZIP codes: 16801, 16802, 16803, 16804 and 16805. For flower delivery in State College, PA, the ZIP is as important as the street, because one number off can place the address in another part of the borough.

If the recipient's mail says Lemont, PA, order from that page. Toftrees, PA has one as well, recipients in Boalsburg, PA are served from theirs, and Houserville, PA does the same job for its own addresses. A recipient with a State College PA envelope belongs here.

The borough is large next to most places on this site, so orders arrive in many kinds: apartments, houses, offices, care homes and student housing. A note at the start of the order saying which kind it is lets the florist plan the handoff before leaving with the arrangement.

The borough sits in Centre County, PA, whose seat is Bellefonte, and the county held 159,805 residents at the last count. The Huntingdon County, PA and Mifflin County, PA pages cover the neighbors across the line, and the Pennsylvania delivery page gathers the rest.

Campus delivery: building, department, recipient

The Pennsylvania State University School of Hospitality Management is the institution on file here, and an order for a recipient at a school like it needs more than a street. Put the building, the department or office and the recipient's full name in the notes, and add the hours the office is open.

A graduation bouquet or a thank-you for a professor should be timed for a weekday, because Sunday delivery is not available and an empty office cannot sign. Same day flower delivery in State College needs the order placed before 1 PM Eastern time, and the flowers arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday.

Student housing adds a step. Include the building, the unit and a phone contact, and ask a roommate to watch for the florist, since a bouquet delivered by hand needs someone to take it. For an event, add the time as well as the room.

For a staff member or a lecturer, a department and a room number work better than a building name alone. A reception desk may accept a bouquet on someone's behalf, but only if the notes say whose name to ask for and which hours the desk keeps, so a florist does not leave with the flowers still in hand.

Flowers for an Embassy of Hearthside resident

Embassy of Hearthside is a nursing home on file in ZIP 16801, and Foxdale Village and The Village at Penn State are others, with Mount Nittany Medical Center among the hospitals. Flowers for a resident or a patient should carry the full name, the unit and the room number, because a staff member may hold the arrangement at the desk.

Compact arrangements suit a bedside table, and a card with a few warm lines is easy to read in bed. If the family knows the visiting hours, put them in the notes, since a florist arriving in the afternoon may find the desk busy. A florist in State College or one nearby will hand the arrangement over by name, and a florist near State College hospitals can have the flowers delivered once the order is placed before 1 PM Eastern time.

Koch Funeral Home, in ZIP 16801, is the funeral home on file. Funeral flowers in State College go to the funeral home or the church holding the service, with the hour in the notes, and sympathy flowers to State College homes go to the family with the surname on the order.

When a State College birthday falls on the closed day

A birthday that lands on a Sunday cannot be met with same day delivery, because Sunday delivery is not available. Order for Saturday and the flowers are in the house before the candles are lit, or choose Monday for a belated surprise. State College flower delivery for a weekday birthday works the other way: place the order before 1 PM Eastern time and flowers delivered that afternoon, between 9 AM and 7 PM, reach the table the same day.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, but the size, shape and value of the arrangement stay the same. After the arrangement is made, a photo of the finished arrangement is sent to the sender at no extra charge.

A card for a birthday can be as short as a name and an age. Short lines are easier to read at a doorway, and the florist copies the text exactly as typed, so a spelling check before submitting is worth a minute.

Anyone searching for a florist in State College or for a flower shop in State College can order flowers here and send flowers to State College, PA through a local florist. The arrangement catalog shows every design at each size, and a problem reported within three days of delivery can end in a replacement, a refund or a partial credit.
