Olyphant, PA Flower Delivery, Made by Hand

Service flowers and the funeral home on the order

Hudak-O'shea Funeral Home is the facility on file for Olyphant, and flowers bound for a service there belong on the order with the family name, the day of the service and the funeral home itself as the delivery address. Funeral flowers in Olyphant go in more than one form, and the notes should say which one is wanted. A family searching for Olyphant PA online will see the funeral home first, and the same name belongs in the delivery notes.

Anyone who needs to send flowers to Olyphant for a service should order a day ahead, because flowers delivered the afternoon before are ready when the family arrives. Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, so a Monday service needs a Saturday delivery, because Sunday delivery is not available.

The local florist builds the arrangement by hand and may substitute flower types for what is on hand. The size, shape and value do not change, and a photo of the finished piece is sent after it is made.

For a family that wants flowers at home, the same order can go to a house, with the full street address and the day.

When the envelope says Throop or Blakely instead

Borough names overlap in this part of Lackawanna County, and Throop, PA, Jessup, PA and Blakely, PA are close enough to be confused. Each has its own page, so a recipient whose mail names one of them should be ordered for there, not through this page. Getting that choice right before paying matters more than any other step in the order.

Dunmore, PA, Dickson City and Archbald sit near Olyphant too. A sender who has only a first name for the place should ask the recipient for a recent envelope, since a florist can only deliver to the address on the order.

The borough has two ZIP codes, 18447 and 18512, and either appears on mail here. A check of the ZIP against the town name before paying settles most doubt.

Olyphant's size and what it means for the door

The borough has 5,380 residents as of 2020 on 5.437 square miles of land, so a delivery address is as likely to be an apartment as a detached house. A florist near Olyphant needs the unit number, and a missing one is the commonest delay. Flower delivery in Olyphant, PA is smoothest when the address reads like a mailing label: name, building, unit, street, ZIP.

Same day flower delivery in Olyphant works when the order is placed before 1 PM Eastern time. Pennsylvania changes its clocks twice a year, so read the cutoff from the recipient's hour. A sender on Central time sees it at noon on their own clock.

An order placed after that hour moves to the next delivery day, and deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM. Olyphant flower delivery is Monday through Saturday only, and the flower deliveries that go out each morning start with the orders placed the day before.

Words for the card, and who they come from

A card is the one part of the order the florist cannot supply, and it is where a sender's own voice goes. Write who it is from in a way the recipient recognizes, and add a short line about the day. A birthday card for a neighbor reads best at two sentences.

When you order flowers for an Olyphant thank-you, name the favor in a few words. For a new baby, say the baby's name and the parents' names, if you know them, so the card reaches the right person.

Someone who has never met the recipient, such as a coworker's relative, should sign with a first and last name and the relationship.

Sending flowers to a desk in Olyphant

Workplace orders need the business name, the department, the recipient and a delivery day inside business hours. Place the order before 1 PM Eastern time and the arrangement can reach the front desk the same afternoon.

The county around the borough is Lackawanna County, PA, and its page lists the other towns. For orders crossing into Luzerne County, PA or Wayne County, PA, use those county pages.

Keep a workplace bouquet modest in size and light on fragrance, since it will sit on a shared counter. Browse the arrangements for something that fits a reception area.

Entry codes, buzzers and lobby desks

Many addresses here are inside buildings with a front desk, a locked door or a buzzer. Put the apartment number, the buzzer name and any entry instruction in the notes, because the florist cannot call a doorbell that has no label.

If the building has a lobby desk, name the person or the department who receives mail. A recipient who is out at work should have flowers addressed to the front desk when the building allows it, and the notes should ask the building to confirm its rule on deliveries.

Anyone typing flower shop in Olyphant wants the same practical answer. The other towns in the state are on the Pennsylvania delivery page, and a florist in Olyphant covers only this borough.
