Dunmore, PA Flower Delivery, Made Locally

Marywood University, a nursing home, two cemeteries and thousands of ordinary front doors share the same borough, so a flower order for Dunmore is rarely generic. Flower delivery in Dunmore, PA works when the order says who the flowers are for and where that person actually is. A local florist makes the arrangement, and a person carries it in.

Dunmore addresses and the ZIP codes that go with them

Mail for the borough comes under 18509 and 18510, and 18512 appears as well, so a recipient who gives only a street and "Dunmore" may belong to a different ZIP than the one you guess. Ask for the line printed on an envelope, ZIP included, before you order flowers.

The 2020 census put the population at 14,046 across 8.918 square miles, which makes Dunmore flower delivery a mix of apartment doors and long residential streets, and the florist needs a unit number for the first kind. A flower order for a building with several doors should name the right one.

Same day flower delivery in Dunmore follows the recipient's clock: the order has to be placed before 1 PM Eastern time, and deliveries run between 9 AM and 7 PM, Monday through Saturday. An order that misses that hour is made on the following working day. Flower deliveries do not run on Sunday.

Scranton, Throop and the Dunmore line on the map

The borough sits in Lackawanna County, PA, whose seat is Scranton, so a lot of senders type the larger city's name when they mean an address here. Scranton, PA has its own delivery page. Check the street and the ZIP: if they match Dunmore, you are on the right page, and if not, switch.

The county has 216,859 people on 459 square miles. Throop, PA, Olyphant, PA and Dickson City, PA are separate boroughs with their own pages, and recipients in them are outside this one even when they shop in Dunmore.

Luzerne County, PA, Monroe County, PA and Susquehanna County, PA adjoin it and are covered as well. A relative who splits the week between two places needs the address where they will actually be on the delivery day.

Marywood University: where a campus order goes

Marywood University is a destination senders look up, usually for a student or a graduate. Flowers delivered to a campus need the student's name, the building or residence hall, and a room or mailbox if there is one, since a delivery person cannot search a campus. A gift for a graduate fits a small vase, as large pieces are awkward to carry through a hall.

Students are not always in their rooms between 9 AM and 7 PM. Pick the weekday and tell the recipient to expect flowers, or ask a roommate to take them in. A Saturday delivery tends to find a student at home more often than a Tuesday does.

An alternative is sending to the family home when the student is away for a break. A florist nearby can then deliver where parents are, and a card can say it came for the student's accomplishment.

What a florist may swap, and what stays as ordered

Local florists stock different flowers from week to week, so one stem may be out when your order is made. The florist may substitute another flower type, but the arrangement keeps the size, shape and value you chose, and it is photographed once it is made.

A color request is a preference. If you order red and white and one red flower is short, a close shade may stand in. Mention in the notes which flower matters most, and a florist can build around it.

The picture sent after the arrangement is finished

A photo of the actual finished arrangement is sent to the sender at no extra charge. It is the real piece, not a catalog picture, and it lets you tell the recipient what to expect at the door.

A problem has to be raised within three days of delivery, because flowers are perishable. If a delivery goes wrong, a replacement, a refund or a partial credit are the options, and the photo helps show what arrived. The same rule applies to a birthday order, so keep it.

Bedside, graveside and windowsill: choosing what lasts

Dunmore Health Care Center is a nursing home where relatives often send flowers to a resident. Put the resident's name as staff know it and the room in the order, and choose a compact arrangement that fits a windowsill. A plant lasts through a long stay and needs little care.

The borough has two cemeteries. Funeral flowers in Dunmore go to the funeral home or church holding the service, not to the grave, and the notice tells you which. Sympathy flowers to a house are a separate order, a plant or low bouquet sent after the service.

People who type flower shop in Dunmore into a search bar find an online form and no counter, because a florist in Dunmore or nearby makes each piece. To send flowers to Dunmore PA, give a street, a unit, a ZIP and a phone number the recipient answers.

Cut flowers in a vase last about a week. A basket is easier to move around a crowded room, and a plant outlasts both. For an anniversary, a florist near Dunmore can build cut roses into a statement piece, and for a long recovery, a plant is the better choice.

Browse the catalog to compare sizes, and see the Pennsylvania delivery pages for other towns in Pennsylvania. For a fixed date, order a day early, and the arrangement can wait in water until the event.
