Dupont, PA Flower Delivery by Local Florists

This borough has two ZIP codes, 18640 and 18641, and a namesake in Washington state that can send a flower order to the wrong coast. Flower delivery in Dupont, PA is for the Pennsylvania borough only: a florist near the recipient arranges the bouquet, and a person delivers it between 9 AM and 7 PM. Sunday delivery is not available.

Which Dupont ZIP code belongs on the order

Two ZIP codes serve the borough, so the first question for a recipient is which one is printed on their mail. A florist can find either, but a mismatch between the ZIP and the street slows the delivery. Copy the number and the street from an envelope, not from memory.

The 2020 census recorded 2,539 residents on 1.564 square miles, so Dupont flower delivery is mostly houses on short streets, with a few apartments. A note about a rear entrance saves the delivery person a walk around the block.

Same day flower delivery in Dupont depends on the order placed before 1 PM Eastern time, Monday through Saturday. Anything placed after that hour is made ready the following working day. An order for a Saturday event should be placed by Friday, since Sunday has no deliveries to fall back on.

Luzerne County, PA and the long shadow of its seat

The borough lies in Luzerne County, PA, and Wilkes-Barre is the seat. The county has 331,379 people over 890 square miles, so a recipient who gives only the county name could be almost anywhere in it. The borough name with ZIP 18640 or 18641 pins the address down.

Carbon County, PA, Columbia County, PA and Lackawanna County, PA adjoin it and are covered too. A relative visiting from one of them can be reached at the address where they are staying, as long as the order names that street.

People who search for a flower shop in Dupont will not find a counter, because the order is placed online and a florist in Dupont or nearby makes it by hand. To send flowers to Dupont PA, include a phone number the recipient will answer.

Avoca, Hughestown and the other pages next door

Avoca, PA and Hughestown, PA each have their own delivery page, and so do Pittston, PA and Yatesville, PA. A recipient who says they live near Dupont may belong to any of them, so match the page to the mailing address, not to a description over the phone.

A florist near Dupont works from the address on the order. If the street is in a neighboring borough, the order belongs on that page. Ask the recipient to read the town from a piece of mail instead of guessing, and keep the ZIP with it.

Duryea, PA is a neighboring borough with a delivery page of its own, and Browntown, PA is another. Those pages hold addresses that this one does not.

Dupont, Washington: why the state belongs on the order

Washington has a Dupont of its own, and a search for flower delivery can offer either one. Before you pay, check that the order reads Pennsylvania and a ZIP starting with 186. Flowers ordered for the wrong state cannot be redirected once a florist has begun the arrangement.

The cost of a mistake is higher when the recipient is a relative who moved. Confirm the state by text and send the ZIP along, so there is no doubt about which Dupont you mean.

Swapped stems and what the florist promises to keep

Flowers change from week to week at a local shop, so a stem may be unavailable. The florist may substitute another flower type, and the size, shape and value of the arrangement stay as ordered. A green plant stays a green plant.

A color request is a preference. Say in the notes which flower matters most, and the florist can build around it, though a specific stem is never guaranteed. After the arrangement is made, flowers delivered by hand come with a photo of the finished piece for the sender. Flower deliveries to the borough are handed over in person.

A picture of the real bouquet, and three days to speak up

The photo is of the actual arrangement, sent at no extra charge, so you can tell the recipient what to look for. It is not a catalog image, and it is useful if something looks different from what you ordered.

Complaints are raised within three days of delivery, because flowers are perishable. A replacement, a refund or a partial credit can be the outcome, and the photo is the record that shows what left the florist.

A plant against cut flowers for a borough home

Cut flowers last about a week with fresh water, and a plant lasts for months. For a birthday in Dupont, cut flowers give a burst of color. For a recipient with a sunny window, a plant is a gift that stays after the cards are gone.

Funeral flowers in Dupont go to the funeral home or church holding the service, with the family name and the hour in the notes. Sympathy flowers to a house are a different order, sent a few days later. To order flowers for a service on Monday, place them by Saturday, and see the catalog for designs. The Pennsylvania delivery pages list other towns in Pennsylvania.
