Twelve town pages and nine ZIP codes sit under this one, covering 601 square miles between the Duval line and the beaches. St. Johns County is 601 square miles with roughly 334,928 residents, and the shape of it matters more than the size. The northern end at Fruit Cove and Nocatee is suburban and dense; the southern end at Crescent Beach and Flagler Estates is thin, and an address there is a different run for a florist than an address twenty minutes from the Duval line.
The nine ZIP codes are the fastest way to say which end an order is going to. 32259 sits at the north, 32084 and 32095 cover the seat and its surroundings, and 32145 is out at the southern edge. A town name on its own can be ambiguous; the ZIP never is.
There are no hospitals or nursing homes in the data behind this page, which is unusual for a county of this size and worth saying plainly rather than padding around. Flower delivery in St. Johns County therefore goes to houses, to workplaces and to the beach addresses, and the named places that do exist sit on the twelve town pages below.
Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time reach a St. Johns County address the same business day. The clock is the recipient's, so a sender in the Pacific zone is working against ten in the morning at home, and a sender in the Central zone is an hour better off. Florida keeps two time zones, but every ZIP code on this page sits in the Eastern one.
Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday to all nine of these ZIP codes, Sunday delivery is not available, and arrivals fall between 9 AM and 7 PM. A Sunday event at St. Augustine Beach therefore has to be met on the Saturday before it, which is a decision worth making midweek.
Across the nine St. Johns ZIP codes, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter all pull the same-day line in front of 1 PM. In practice the southern 32145 addresses close earliest in those weeks, so an order for Flagler Estates in mid February is safer placed the day before than on the day.
A funeral or memorial service in this county usually means a venue rather than a house, and the venue name plus the hour of the service is the information that actually decides whether a piece arrives in time. A sender in another state has no way to check a service time after the fact.
Standing pieces belong at the building where the service is held, while a smaller arrangement sent to the family a few days later belongs at the home. Splitting an order that way across 601 square miles is often better than trying to make one piece do both jobs.
Something wrong at a Nocatee or Sawgrass door leaves three days in which to raise it, because flowers will not keep. A replacement piece, a refund or a partial credit follow from there, and on a southern St. Johns County address a replacement takes the longest of the three to arrange.
A birthday order into World Golf Village, Palm Valley or Sawgrass is usually a gated address, and the gate is what decides the day rather than the design. A code or a guardhouse name on the order form is worth more than any note about the flowers.
New-baby and congratulations orders mostly go to houses at the Fruit Cove and Nocatee end, where the 32259 and 32081 addresses are. A house takes the full 9 AM to 7 PM window without anybody having to wait in, which is the whole point of the wide window.
An anniversary piece into a workplace in the seat is the easiest order on this page. Somebody signs for it once, it stays indoors out of the sun, and a particular hour can be asked for even though no florist is in a position to promise one.
Condo addresses at Butler Beach, Crescent Beach and St. Augustine Shores need a unit number and, often, a desk name. A piece left in a lobby without a name on it is a piece nobody claims, and a beach address in July is the worst place in the county to leave one outside.
Workplace addresses need a floor and a company name. Gated communities need a code. The florist gets a single attempt inside the window, and a locked entrance moves the delivery to another business day rather than to another hour of the same one.
ZIP 32080 covers the beach side and 32086 the mainland south of the seat, which are minutes apart on a map and a real difference on a route. Writing both the town and the ZIP settles it before the piece is ever built.
Shape comes first on a St. Johns County order. A tall standing piece built for a service does not belong on a condo balcony table at Crescent Beach, and a low compact arrangement that is right on a desk is invisible at the front of a room.
Heat comes second, and in Florida it is a real constraint rather than a note. Summer orders into the beach ZIP codes come back with sturdier material than the same order in January, which is the substitution policy at work. Browse the catalog by occasion and by room.
Flower types may be substituted for what the florist nearest the recipient actually has. The type of arrangement holds: a piece bought at a given size, shape and value arrives at that size, shape and value, which is the part of the policy people care about.
Once the arrangement is finished a photo of it is sent to the buyer at no extra charge. For a delivery to a gated address at Nocatee, that photo is frequently the only confirmation a sender ever sees, and it settles the substitution question without a call.
