Flower Delivery Across Garfield County, UT

Picking a Size for Panguitch

A bedside at Garfield County Nursing Home takes a compact arrangement, while a house in Panguitch can hold something with height. Pick the size first in the full range of arrangements, because it is the part of the order a florist cannot adjust later.

Intermountain Health Garfield Memorial Hospital sits in the same town, and a flower delivery to a patient there is easier with the full name than with a room number that changes. Ask for the morning half of the window if the Panguitch stay is a short one.

Those two named addresses are a few hundred yards apart and they are the only ones of their kind in the county. Everything else here is a house, which means the surname on the card carries more of the order than it would in a town with street numbers on every door.

A Birthday Out at Tropic

Order before 1 PM Mountain time and a birthday arrangement reaches the recipient the same business day at 84759 in Panguitch, 84776 at Tropic or 84726 at Escalante.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across Garfield County, Sunday delivery is not available, and deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM. A birthday that lands on a Sunday at Tropic is therefore met on the Saturday before it, which is the detail a sender outside Utah usually misses.

A day early is the only version of a Sunday birthday that exists here, and it is worth deciding on rather than discovering. Placing the order on the Thursday leaves room for the Saturday run to be arranged rather than squeezed.

Three Towns Across 5,175 Square Miles

Garfield County is 5,175 square miles with 5,290 people in it, which works out at close to one person per square mile, and only three towns have pages of their own. Panguitch sits on the highway in the west, Tropic under the red rock in the middle and Escalante furthest east.

That distance is the reason an order for Escalante is not the same order as one for the seat: the two are the far ends of one county. Naming the town is not a formality here, it is the single line that decides which day the flowers arrive.

Iron County, UT lies west of the line and Kane County, UT south of it, and each keeps a page of its own. Past the boundary it is the page that changes rather than anything about the delivery itself.

Substituted Stems at Escalante

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, and in country this high and this dry the winter list is the short one. What holds is the size, the shape and the value that were ordered for Garfield County.

Heat is not the constraint here, altitude is, and the stems that travel well over the plateau in February are not the ones that travel well in August. The arrangement that was ordered is what arrives either way.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once it has been made, at no extra charge, and for a sender several states away it is the only view of the Tropic door it reached. Three towns keep pages beneath this one, and every other county in Utah is listed in the Utah county index.
