Send Flowers in Dillon County, SC

Seasonal Stems and a Fixed Size

Dillon County is 405 square miles, the smallest ground in this corner of South Carolina, and what changes most between one order and the next is not the distance but the stem list. Where a variety is short that morning, it is substituted for what the florist can actually get.

This is flat farmland with four ZIP codes over it, and what a florist can lay hands on in February is a shorter list than the same florist has in May. Substitution is how an order placed in a thin week still arrives as the thing that was bought.

What never moves is the type of arrangement. A wide low bowl ordered for a house in Latta arrives as a wide low bowl, at the size and the value it was bought at, whatever ended up going into it.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has made it, so a sender who has never seen Hamer still sees the actual piece rather than the catalog image.

A Sympathy Order at Latta

Funeral flowers in Dillon County usually go to the funeral home rather than the house, and in a county of 27,577 people the service is often listed under a family name the whole town already knows. That name is more use on the order than a street number.

Mcleod Medical Center - Dillon takes flowers at a front desk. A piece meant for a patient room should be low and stable, and a room number written into the order saves a corridor at the other end.

A second care home at the seat receives flowers the same way, and again it is the resident's room number that keeps a delivery out of reception for the afternoon.

Farm Addresses and Apartment Numbers

Rural route addresses are the ones that go wrong. A house number on a country road outside Hamer is easy to pass, so a landmark or a mailbox color in the order notes is worth more than a second attempt would be.

Apartment numbers and workplace suites matter the same way. An order for an office in Dillon that lands once the staff have gone waits until the next working day, however short the drive was.

Five Towns and the Seat

Order before 1 PM Eastern time for same-day flower delivery to 29536 at the seat or any of the other three Dillon County ZIP codes.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday in Lake View and Newtown exactly as it does at the seat, Sunday delivery is not available, and the window on the day is between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Latta and Lake View are ten minutes apart, while Newtown and Hamer sit at the far end of the county from each other. Naming the town on the order removes that guess entirely.

Five towns take flower delivery under this page, and the seat is only one of them: Latta, Lake View, Hamer and Newtown each carry a listing here as well.

The town of Dillon has its own separate city page at Dillon, SC, covering the seat rather than the 405 square miles around it. The South Carolina county list carries the rest of the state, Marlboro County, SC lies west of here and Horry County, SC runs south east toward the coast.
