Edgewood, PA Flower Delivery by Local Florist

Edgewood is a borough of 3,140 people in the 2020 census, in Allegheny County, PA, and flower delivery in Edgewood, PA starts with a check most senders never think to make: the name is also used by towns in several other states. ZIP code 15218 belongs to this one.

The sections below cover the county and its seat, the states that share the name, the neighboring boroughs, and the two parts of every order that surprise people most, the swap of a stem and the photo of the finished arrangement. Each section ends with something worth writing in the order notes.

From the county seat down to a Edgewood doorstep

Pittsburgh is the county seat of Allegheny County, and a recipient who works downtown may say Pittsburgh when asked where they live. The order, though, needs the borough name and ZIP 15218, and a florist near Edgewood arranges the bouquet for that street.

The county has many boroughs close together, among them Aspinwall and Avalon, each with its own delivery page. When a sender cannot tell which one applies, the ZIP on the recipient's mail is the quickest answer.

Washington County, PA and Beaver County, PA adjoin the county, so a recipient on that side belongs to the page for that county, not this one. The cutoff and the calendar are identical there, and Edgewood flower delivery follows the same rules.

Same day flower delivery in Edgewood follows the usual rule: orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time can go out the same day, Monday through Saturday, between 9 AM and 7 PM. Sunday delivery is not available.

Flowers for the Pennsylvania borough, not the namesakes in Texas or Ohio

Several states have a town of the same name, and Texas, Washington and Ohio are three of them, so a search for flower delivery can lead a sender to the wrong place. Check that the order reads Pennsylvania and ZIP 15218 before paying for flowers.

An order for the namesake in Kentucky or Florida cannot be redirected once a florist has arranged it, so the state and ZIP are worth a second look.

A short text to the recipient that names the state and the ZIP settles the question in seconds, and families that share one address line among several senders avoid duplicate orders as well.

Edgewood PA is the form to type into a search box, and the full name Pennsylvania should appear on the order summary before payment.

Indiana, Iowa and New Mexico also have one, which is why a search for flower delivery can return a mix of states on its first page.

Swissvale, Wilkinsburg and Rankin: names near Edgewood

Swissvale, PA and Wilkinsburg, PA are on the neighbor list, with Rankin, PA and Braddock Hills completing it. A recipient near the edge of the borough may give any of those names, and each has its own delivery page.

The ZIP on the recipient's mail breaks the tie: 15218 is the one printed for this borough. If the mail shows a different ZIP, order from the page for the town that ZIP belongs to.

A birthday bouquet for a Edgewood recipient is easy to get wrong in an area with many small boroughs, since two streets can share a name across a boundary. Ask for the cross street or a landmark in the notes.

Flowers delivered to a house need a number and a street; to an apartment, a building and a unit; to an office, the company and a contact. A requested time goes in the notes, though it is a request only.

What may change in a bouquet bound for Edgewood

The stems in the catalog picture are a guide. If one is short, a florist may put a different flower in the same place, and the vase, the fullness and the value stay as ordered.

Order flowers with a note about the occasion, and the florist has the context to choose a good stand-in. A white sympathy arrangement takes a swap more easily than a bright mixed bouquet does.

Funeral flowers in Edgewood should name the place of the service and the time, since a late order matters most when an event has a fixed hour. A Saturday service is served by a Friday order, because Sunday delivery is not available.

A picture of the real bouquet, not the catalog

When the florist has finished the arrangement, a photo of it is sent to the sender at no extra charge. It shows the actual bouquet, so a sender can compare it with the catalog picture and see how a swapped flower looks.

A sender can forward the photo to the recipient or to relatives who are expecting the delivery. For a birthday or an anniversary it also makes a keepsake, and for a get well gift it shows the family what arrived.

The words flower shop in Edgewood may bring a sender here, and this page takes orders online; a florist in Edgewood or one close by makes each arrangement by hand.
