Same Day Flower Delivery East Pittsburgh, PA

The clock matters first, so start with it: place the order before 1 PM Eastern time and same day flower delivery in East Pittsburgh is possible, with deliveries happening Monday through Saturday between 9 AM and 7 PM. Sunday delivery is not available. Everything else on this page is about getting the order right once the clock is on your side.

East Pittsburgh is a borough of 1,928 people in the 2020 census, so orders here go to a dense mix of houses and apartments in a part of Allegheny County, PA where small towns sit close together. That is why the town name, the ZIP code of 15112 and the state of Pennsylvania belong on every order.

Short distances and small doors in East Pittsburgh

At 0.388 square miles, the borough is compact, and the flowers delivered here go mostly to houses and apartments, with some offices mixed in. The shape of the address matters more than the distance.

A house needs a street number and a note about which door is used. An apartment needs a unit. A business needs the company name and a contact, and a reception desk may or may not accept a large arrangement.

A florist near the address arranges the bouquet and a person carries it by hand, so the notes on the order are the only way to pass on small details such as a side entrance or a bell that does not work.

North Braddock, Chalfant and Turtle Creek next door

North Braddock, PA and Chalfant, PA are listed as neighbors of this borough, and Turtle Creek, PA is on the same list, with Wilmerding completing it. Someone who lives near the edge of the borough may think of themselves as living in one of those towns instead.

Read the town off a recent envelope: if it says Turtle Creek, use that page, and if it says East Pittsburgh PA, order here.

A wrong town name is the most common reason a florist has to ask a question, so read the street, the town and ZIP 15112 aloud with the recipient before paying.

Which Allegheny town goes on the order

Pittsburgh is the county seat of Allegheny County, and a sender may be tempted to type it in. The recipient lives in the borough, and an order that names the wrong town may not end up where it was meant to.

Washington County, PA and Beaver County, PA border the county, and each has its own page for a recipient on the far side of a county line. The page for Allegheny County, PA is the one that covers this borough.

Flower delivery in East Pittsburgh, PA does not change when the order is placed from another state or from another town in Pennsylvania, since the same cutoff applies in the recipient's zone.

What to write on a East Pittsburgh birthday card

A card has a few lines to work with, and the most useful thing to put on it is a name the recipient will recognize. For a birthday, add the relationship; for a thank-you, name the favor; for a get well gift, keep it short.

If the recipient is not at home, the flowers may be left with someone who does not know the sender, so the card has to say who sent them. A time can be asked for in the notes, though the florist cannot guarantee one.

A household with several people should have one name at the top of the card, so the right person opens it. A birthday bouquet for a teenager and one for a grandparent can be the same size and still need very different cards.

Reception desks and office hours in the borough

Flower deliveries to a workplace have to land during business hours, and the window between 9 AM and 7 PM does not always match the hours of a small office. Ask the recipient when the office closes before placing the order.

Reception may be the right place to leave the arrangement, and a department name helps the person at the desk. A bouquet sent to a work address for a retirement or a promotion is usually a surprise, so the card should explain it.

A florist in East Pittsburgh or nearby may swap a flower type for what is on hand, and the size, shape and value stay as ordered. The photo sent afterward shows the finished arrangement.

Apartments and front desks in East Pittsburgh

Flower delivery in East Pittsburgh, for a building with a front desk or a locked door, needs a name and a unit on the order, and the notes should say which entrance to use. Ask the recipient to expect the delivery.

If the building has a doorman or a mail room, the arrangement may be held there until the recipient is home. That is normal, and a sender can ask the recipient to confirm it arrived.
