Five towns carry pages under this one, and the county seat is the smallest name on the list. Every order is built by hand by a florist working near the address and taken to the door rather than shipped. Grand County sits on Mountain time, which is the clock the same-day deadline is measured against, not the one on your own wall.

Most counties are named for their largest town. This one is not. Hot Sulphur Springs holds the courthouse and very little else, while Granby and Kremmling take more of the orders, and Winter Park and Fraser fill up when the season does.
Six ZIP codes cover the five towns of Grand County, and 80446, 80459 and 80482 do most of the work between them. That matters because a seasonal address and a year-round address can share a street name here, and the ZIP is what separates a condominium block from a house on the same road.
The seasonal pattern is worth planning around. An address that is somebody's home in February may be let to a stranger in July, so a delivery going to a second property wants a name in the notes and, if possible, a phone contact who is actually in the building that week.
Middle Park Medical Center in Kremmling is the named address most often given on an order from outside the state, and it is worth a call to the front desk before you order so the piece reaches the right floor. A patient name and a room number in the notes will do more than a careful street address.
A funeral order splits in two. Standing work goes to the place the service is held, on the morning of the service rather than during it, and a smaller arrangement goes to the family home in the week that follows. The two want different days, and only one of them is urgent.
Give the name of the deceased along with the family name. In a county where a service may draw people from three towns, that line is what routes an arrangement to the right room, and it takes a sender five seconds to add.
A sympathy order to a home in Grand County is better low than tall. The house is usually full of arrangements already, somebody has to find a surface for each one, and a compact piece that needs no vase and no attention is the easiest of them to receive.
Orders that land before 1 PM Mountain time go out that same business day. Monday through Saturday is the working week here, and Sunday is not a flower delivery day, which means a Sunday event has to be covered on the Saturday and a Monday morning service has to be ordered before the weekend starts.
The window itself is 9 AM to 7 PM. A specific hour can be requested and the florist will work toward it, but nothing about a mountain road in January makes that a promise worth printing. Around Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter the same-day cutoff can also move earlier than one.
For a sender in another zone the arithmetic is the whole story. From the eastern seaboard the Grand County deadline arrives just after lunch, and from the west coast it arrives before mid morning. Working out that one number in advance prevents most of the disappointment that comes with a long-distance order.
Flower types may be substituted for what the florist can get. No substitution is made in the type of arrangement: the size, the shape and the value all stay as ordered, and the intent is to keep the finished piece as close to the item you chose as the week permits. Somewhere above the treeline in February that is not a formality, it is the whole reason a same-day order works.
A photograph of the finished arrangement is sent after the florist has made it, at no extra charge. It is the most useful thing on this page for a sender who has never seen the address. If it shows something wrong, raise it inside three days of the delivery, because flowers are perishable, and the remedies are a replacement, a refund or a partial credit.
Ordering by form rather than by variety makes the policy a non-event. A tall one-sided piece, a low bowl, or a hand-tied bunch already in water are three requests a florist in Colorado can meet in any week of the year, and each of them tells the designer more than a product code does.
Roughly 1,846 square miles are filed under Grand County with about 16,154 residents in them, which puts a lot of empty road between two orders that look adjacent on a form. A florist plans the run by geography, so an address twenty minutes past the last one is not a small addition to the afternoon.
Elevation and weather do the rest. A delivery note that mentions a locked lobby, an unplowed drive, or a neighbor who holds parcels is worth more here than in most places, and it costs you one line at checkout.
A workplace address wants its own line too. Say the department and the finishing time, because an arrangement that reaches a reception desk after the recipient has gone home sits there overnight, and in this county a second attempt is a real drive rather than a detour.
Ski season is the one predictable complication. Between December and April the towns at the top of the road hold far more people than they do in October, and an order into Grand County in that window benefits from a unit number, a building name and somebody who can answer a phone.
Each of the five towns above has a page listing its ZIP codes and its named places, and that is the better starting point when you already know where the recipient lives. This county page exists for the times when you do not, or when the address is rural enough that the town name is a formality. Either route reaches the same florists working this part of Colorado.
For a recipient elsewhere in Colorado, the county index for the state is the place to look, and Summit County, CO and Larimer County, CO both share a boundary with Grand County, CO. Browse the arrangements on offer once you know which page you need.
