Catalina Flower Delivery for AZ 85739

Catalina on the Pima list

Catalina is one of the smaller places in Pima County, AZ, the county whose seat is Tucson. That county page lists dozens of other communities, and several of them share part of a name or sit close enough that relatives use them loosely. Check the recipient's mail before ordering: the town line and the ZIP on it decide which page is right.

All the addresses here share ZIP 85739. If the recipient's mail shows another number, the order almost certainly belongs to another community, and it is worth sorting that out before you pay rather than after.

The same-day line is 1 PM on the recipient's clock: orders placed before 1 PM Arizona time go out that same business day. When other states set their clocks forward in March, Arizona stays where it is, so a sender who worked out the difference last winter should work it out again in spring.

For relatives over the line in the neighboring county, the Pinal County, AZ page covers towns such as Oracle and Saddlebrooke.

Saddlebrooke, Oro Valley or Oracle?

These three are the names most often mixed up with this one. Saddlebrooke, AZ and Oracle, AZ have their own pages and ZIP codes, and so does Oro Valley, AZ. A recipient may say "near Catalina" when the address itself belongs to a neighbor.

If you are sending to two households in two of these places, place two orders, one per address. Nothing splits once it is made, and each household deserves its own words on the card.

A florist in Catalina territory builds each order for the exact street you type, so a correct number and ZIP matter more than the name you use for the area.

What 85739 means for a Catalina order

Catalina flower delivery serves 7,551 residents, the 2020 figure, across a census-designated place of 14.1 square miles with no town government of its own. That size means most flower deliveries go to houses, some on larger lots, and a smaller share to apartments or offices. For a house set back from the road, add what makes it easy to find: a gate, a mailbox color or a landmark on the drive.

Because it is a census-designated place, the town name on the recipient's letters is the one to use. If it says Catalina, AZ with 85739, you are on the right page. If it names somewhere else, follow the letter.

Flowers delivered to a spread-out address arrive at some point in the 9 AM to 7 PM window, not at a set hour. You may note a preferred time as a request; it is a wish rather than a promise.

When the birthday is a Sunday

Delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. A birthday in Catalina that falls on a Sunday calls for a decision: arrive on Saturday, while the weekend is starting, or on Monday, as a late surprise. Saturday usually suits a family gathering; Monday suits someone who will be home and quiet after a busy weekend.

Send flowers to Catalina for the Saturday by ordering before 1 PM Arizona time that day, or earlier in the week to be safe. The card can say what the date is for, so nobody wonders why a birthday bouquet came a day early.

A new baby and the first week home

New parents come and go on no fixed schedule. Ask a relative when the family expects to be back from the hospital and time the order for the day after. A vase that lands on the doorstep while everyone is still at the maternity ward helps nobody.

Something compact and stable works best in a house with a newborn. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, so the design you pick in the arrangement catalog is the one that arrives.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent to you once the florist has made it, at no extra charge. It is often the first picture the rest of the family sees of what went to the new parents.

Service flowers and home flowers

Funeral flowers in Catalina go to one of two places, and each needs a different order. Service pieces go to the venue, with the deceased's name on the card and the hour of the service noted. A vase or a plant belongs with the family at home, where it can stay after the service is over.

Order flowers for the service with time to spare, because they need to be there before people arrive. The home order can wait; a few days after the funeral, when the house is quieter, it is often more welcome.
