Wheeling and Ohio County, WV Flowers

Browse the Catalog by Size

Browse by size before anything else. The catalog lists height and width against each design, and in a county of 106 square miles a wrong scale still cannot be swapped out on the same afternoon.

Ohio County covers only 106 square miles and still holds 41,090 people. A front room at Bethlehem and a front room at Clearview pose the same problem: one surface, and a piece that either fits it or takes it over.

Color is the last of the three decisions and the easiest to get help with. Anyone who has seen the room judges it better than the person paying does, which is worth a message before the order rather than after it.

An Address at Triadelphia or Bethlehem

An address at Triadelphia or Bethlehem needs the road name as well as the number. Only three ZIP codes cover the whole of Ohio County, and 26003 takes in Wheeling and most of what surrounds it, so the code narrows very little.

Wheeling Hospital takes flowers at a desk rather than at a bedside, so a patient name on the order is what gets them upstairs. Good Shepherd Nursing Home works the same way, and a resident there can change rooms between the order and the delivery.

Order before 1 PM Eastern time for same-day flower delivery to any of the three Ohio County ZIP codes. Deliveries run Monday through Saturday, Sunday delivery is not available at Wheeling or West Liberty, and arrivals fall between 9 AM and 7 PM.

A Birthday at West Liberty

A birthday at West Liberty sent to a house does better late in the window. The same order to an office at 26003 wants the morning, because a desk is empty by the time the afternoon is over and nobody is left to sign for anything.

Flowers for a new baby are safer at the home address than anywhere inside a hospital, because a room number goes out of date faster than the order does. A WV address at 26074 holds a piece for the whole week instead.

A thank you piece has the loosest timing on this list. Pick it for the desk it will stand on, and it is still upright at the end of the week, which is more than can be said for a piece chosen on looks alone.

Seasonal Swaps at Wheeling

Flower types may be substituted for what a florist near Wheeling has in the cooler that morning, with no change to the size, shape or value of the Ohio County order. Seasonal availability is the reason, and January is when it bites hardest.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes back to whoever paid for the Ohio County delivery, at no extra charge. Kepner Funeral Home is on this page too, and for a service there the photo is often the only thing a distant relative sees.

A problem raised inside three days is settled with a replacement piece, a refund or a partial credit, and 26059 is no exception to that. Three days is the limit because cut flowers do not keep beyond it.

Marshall County, WV lies directly south and Brooke County, WV directly north, while Belmont County, OH sits across the river. The West Virginia county index carries the other West Virginia pages, and flower delivery runs the same way at all of them.
