Send Flowers in Orange County, VA

Addresses, ZIP Codes and Front Desks

An order for Orange County fails on the address line far more often than it fails on the flowers. Four ZIP codes cover the whole of it, 22960 around the town of Orange and 22508 out at Lake of the Woods, and a house number with no ZIP behind it can send a delivery half an hour the wrong way. Orange County sits inland in Virginia, well away from any interstate, and the roads between its corners are two lanes wide.

Dogwood Village of Orange County Health and Rehab takes arrangements at a front desk, and a resident's full name matters more there than a room number does, because rooms change and names do not. A workplace address on 22942 wants a morning arrival and somebody named on the order who will still be at that desk in the afternoon.

Choose a Height, Then a Color

Height decides whether the arrangement works in the room it lands in. Something tall reads well in the entrance of a care home and gets moved off a small kitchen table in Gordonsville inside the hour. The full catalog of designs carries a height against each one, which is the number to read first.

Flower types may be substituted for whatever the florist has on hand that morning, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, and across 341 square miles with one nursing home and no hospital of its own that flexibility is what lets an order placed from another state still go out on the day it was placed.

A Birthday at Lake of the Woods

A birthday delivery wants a different shape from a sympathy one. It should land while there is still some of the day left to enjoy it, which means the order goes in during the morning rather than late in the working day. Lake shore addresses are the ones worth ordering early for, since the 22508 end of the county is the furthest from everything else.

Order before 1 PM Eastern time and same day flower delivery reaches Lake of the Woods, Barboursville or the county seat that afternoon. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday in Virginia, Sunday delivery is not available, and the window is between 9 AM and 7 PM.

A service held on a Sunday at Orange has to be covered by a Saturday arrival instead, which is the single date that trips senders up in a county of this shape.

Sympathy Flowers and a Nursing Home

Sympathy flowers sent to a house need a different size from ones sent to a service. A low arrangement sits on a side table and does not have to be lifted when the room fills up, while a standing piece needs a stand and floor space to put it on. For an address at Dogwood Village of Orange County Health and Rehab, low and lightly scented is the safer pick.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it is sent to whoever placed the order, at no extra charge, which counts for most when the sender is several states away from 22923 and cannot watch it arrive.

There is also a town called Orange in this state, and it keeps its own city page, separate from this county listing. The wider index sits at county flower delivery in Virginia, and Louisa County, VA borders this one to the southeast while Greene County, VA lies off to the west.
