Flowers Across Northampton County, VA

Four Towns and 212 Square Miles

Northampton County is long and narrow, and the distance between its ends is the first thing to price into an order. Cape Charles sits near the southern tip, Nassawadox well to the north, and a florist covering both in one afternoon is not making a short loop. About 12,004 people live across 212 square miles, which is why the ZIP code on the label carries more weight here than the town name does.

Exmore and Nassawadox hold the northern half, while Cape Charles and Cheriton cover 23310 and 23316 further down. All four towns keep a separate listing beneath Northampton County. Accomack County, VA takes over at the north line, and an address past that line belongs on its listing instead of this one.

Pick a Size, Then a Stem

Height is what goes wrong, not color. A tall vase suits the foyer of a funeral home and blocks a Cheriton kitchen table, so the arrangement catalog carries a height for every design and that number is the one worth reading before the order goes in. Say which room it is going into and the shape can be matched to it.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, which across a county of 212 square miles is what keeps a same day order realistic rather than optimistic. Very little grows on this stretch of coast in February, and the swap is what stops an order from simply being refused.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes to the sender at no extra charge, so a Cape Charles delivery never has to be described down the phone afterwards.

Funeral Flowers for Exmore and Cheriton

Northampton County has three funeral homes and no two of them sit in the same town. Cornish and Holland Funeral Home is in Cheriton, Smith and Scott Funeral Home works out of Exmore, and Holland Funeral Home is in Nassawadox, so the town written on the order is what separates them. Standing sprays belong at the home holding the service, while a smaller piece is the better choice for the house where family has gathered afterwards.

Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing takes flowers at a front desk rather than at a room door, and a resident name written out in full saves a second attempt. Something low and lightly scented travels better there than a tall vase does, and it does not need lifting every time the room fills.

Addresses at Either End

Order before 1 PM Eastern time and same day flower delivery reaches any of the four Northampton ZIP codes that afternoon. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across the four Northampton towns of Virginia, Sunday delivery is not available, and arrivals land between 9 AM and 7 PM.

A Sunday service at Eastville therefore has to be met on the Saturday before it, and that is the date families most often miss. An order typed with VA on the address line still needs its town, because 23413 and 23310 are the better part of an hour apart by road. A specific hour can be asked for on a Cheriton order, though it cannot be promised.

Senders who found this listing by typing VA after the county name will find the rest of the state at flower delivery across Virginia, where Northampton County sits among the smaller Virginia entries.
