Arlington, VA Flower Delivery by Hand

The question senders far away ask first is the time. Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time reach the recipient the same business day. Converted, Central time senders see it at noon, Mountain time senders at 11 AM, Pacific time senders at 10 AM. A sender on the West Coast who orders after breakfast is cutting it close.

Arlington sits in Arlington County, VA, which is home to 239,807 people on about 26 square miles, and nearly thirty ZIPs, from 22201 and 22203 to 22206 and 22209. Flower delivery in Arlington, VA depends on the building name, the unit number and the right ZIP.

Substitution Terms Worth Knowing

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement. If a rose or lily in your chosen color is short on a given morning, a stem of close color and scale takes its place. The design keeps its form, and a large piece is never made smaller. The value you paid for is the value that arrives, even when a stem changes.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has made it, at no extra charge. It shows any swapped stem, and for a sender outside Virginia it is the one look before the flowers reach the recipient.

That is how a hand-arranged florist delivery differs from a carton shipped by parcel service: flowers delivered by a florist arrive finished and in water, not dry in a sleeve on a lobby shelf.

Congratulations and Birthday Flowers for Arlington

Birthday flowers delivered to an Arlington office tend to be seen by a whole floor. Name the company, the floor and the recipient's full name. A bright mixed bouquet in a vase suits a desk; a plant survives a weekend with the office closed.

Congratulations for a promotion, a graduation or a new home work well in a medium vase design. For an anniversary, a single color in a low vase suits a small dining table. A new baby arrangement should stay small in an apartment with little counter space. A retirement send-off at an office is an easy place to go larger, since the arrangement stands on a shared table for the last day.

Get well flowers for a patient at Virginia Hospital Center need the patient's full name and a room number. A few hospital units turn flowers away, which is worth asking the family about before you order for Virginia Hospital Center.

Same Day Flower Delivery in Arlington VA

Delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. Deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM. Orders placed after the Eastern time line are made for the next delivery day.

Orders for 22201 through 22209 on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter can meet an earlier same-day cutoff. For any of those four, place the order a day ahead.

If the recipient has a meeting or a shift, a preferred hour can go into the order notes as a request. It stays a request, not a set hour. Saturday is a full delivery day across Arlington County, which suits apartments where people are home on weekends.

Pick a Size That Fits the Room

In the arrangement catalog, narrow your choice by the room it is headed for. An apartment side table takes something compact; a dining table or a reception desk can take a fuller design.

For a funeral at Murphy Funeral Home or another service, a standing spray or a wreath goes to the service with the full name of the person who died and the service time. Funeral flowers in Arlington for the family's home are better as a vase design or a plant.

Two recipients in the same apartment can share one order and one delivery charge, which appears at checkout. For a care center resident, choose something compact in a sturdy container; a tall vase is easily knocked over on a bedside tray.

Apartment, Office and Hospital Deliveries

For an apartment, write the building name, the street address and the unit number, plus a phone number for the recipient. A building with a front desk may hold the flowers there. Flowers cannot go to a PO box in 22210 or any other ZIP here; they need a door. Flower deliveries to a building with a concierge go smoother when the desk is named on the order along with the unit number.

For a care center such as The Jefferson or Cherrydale Health and Rehabilitation Center, the facility name, resident's name and room number are what the front desk needs.

To send flowers to Arlington from any time zone, the Eastern clock is the one to watch. Arlington flower delivery needs a name, a unit number and a card, so order flowers once those three are in hand.
