Flowers for Prince George County, VA

Birthdays and Retirements at Fort Lee

A birthday or a change of station is the common reason flowers move here, and both run to a date rather than a mood. An arrangement that lands the morning after is a different gift from one that lands on the day itself. Prince George County has about 43,589 residents and a large share of them are attached to the post, so the sender is frequently several time zones from the recipient.

Order before 1 PM Eastern time and same day flower delivery reaches Fort Lee, Disputanta or the county seat that afternoon. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday, Sunday delivery is not available anywhere in Prince George County, and arrivals land between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Three Towns and One Shared Name

There is also a town called Prince George inside this county, and it keeps its own city page, separate from the county listing you are reading. The two share a name and cover very different ground, which is worth settling before you pick one of them.

Three ZIP codes carry the whole of Prince George County. 23801 covers the post, 23842 and 23875 cover the rest, and 265 square miles is small enough that a florist working one corner is not far from the others. Chesterfield County, VA sits across the northern boundary, and an address on that side belongs on its listing instead.

The 1 PM Mark for Disputanta

That cutoff is measured where the flowers land, not where the card is written. A sender on the west coast is working to a mid morning deadline at home if the order is to move today. Someone sending from overseas has usually lost the day already and should aim at tomorrow instead of hoping. Nothing about that hour moves for a weekend either, since Saturday runs on the same clock as the rest of the week and Sunday does not run at all.

A Sunday service at Disputanta has to be met on the Saturday before it, which is the arrangement families here make most often and the one they make latest. A specific hour can be asked for, though it can only ever be a request rather than a fixed time.

Addresses, Gates and Room Numbers

A post address needs more than a street. Building, unit and a working contact for the recipient are what get an arrangement past a gate, and a blank contact field is the most common reason a delivery on 23801 comes back undelivered. Give them one number that somebody answers during the working day. A civilian address in Disputanta or out on 23842 needs far less than that, though a porch out of the weather still helps on a wet afternoon.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, and the design catalog lists the height of each piece so a desk delivery does not turn up taller than the desk. Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it is sent at no extra charge, which for a family in Virginia sending to 23875 from abroad is the whole of what they get to see. The rest of the state is collected at flower delivery across Virginia by county, where every VA entry works to this same cutoff.
