Botetourt County, VA Flower Delivery

Memorial Flowers at Fincastle and Buchanan

Brian Center of Fincastle is the named institution at the seat, and flowers sent there go to a front desk rather than to a room door. Ask for the recipient's full name exactly as the staff have it written down.

A standing spray belongs where the service is held and a smaller piece suits the house afterward. Botetourt County runs 541 square miles, so those two addresses are often half an hour apart rather than two doors down.

A Sunday service at Buchanan has to be met on the Saturday, because flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across all six towns here and Sunday delivery is not available.

Six Towns Along the Blue Ridge

Six towns hold listings of their own below this page: Fincastle at the seat, Daleville and Cloverdale along the road south, Buchanan on the river, and Blue Ridge and Laymantown at the eastern edge.

The seven ZIP codes run from 24019 in the south up to 24090 at Fincastle and 24066 at Buchanan, which puts the 34,129 people of Botetourt County across ground that takes most of an afternoon to cross.

Two of the seven ZIP codes, 24064 and 24077, cover ground well away from Botetourt County’s seat, so a late order for either is worth placing earlier in the day.

Blue Ridge and Laymantown sit closest to the county line, and an order that names the ZIP code as well as the town gets there without anybody having to make a phone call first.

The 1 PM Hour at Daleville

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time reaches any of the six towns the same business day, and deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM. Later than that hour and the piece is made up for the next working morning.

All of Virginia sits in one time zone, so a sender on the west coast should read 1 PM as ten in the morning on their own clock. That piece of arithmetic is what costs people a day.

Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas and Easter each pull that hour earlier, and in a county with a seat this small the early slots are the first to go.

Substituted Stems at Cloverdale

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand at the Fincastle end of the county, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement. Nothing about the piece ordered changes except which stems fill it out.

Height is the first decision to go wrong on a Fincastle order. A tall vase on a narrow hall table has to be moved before anybody can pass it, and a low bowl in the same spot does not.

The arrangements page shows every design at the size it goes out at, which is what a sender choosing for a room at Cloverdale or Laymantown they have never entered actually needs.

Daleville Health and Rehabilitation and The Glebe both sit at Daleville, and a compact arrangement suits a bedside table in either of them better than a tall one does.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has built it, at no extra charge, which for a Botetourt County sender in another state answers far more than a product code.

Every county here is listed at Virginia county flower delivery. Roanoke County, VA lies southwest of the line, and Bedford County, VA sits away to the southeast.
