Seneca County, OH Flowers by Hand

A Hospital Address in Fostoria

Fostoria Community Hospital takes most of the flowers that arrive in the northern half of Seneca County, and an order for a patient there needs a room number as well as a name. Without one it waits at the desk until somebody walks it up.

Good Shepherd Home and Independence House, both in Fostoria, work the same way. So does Autumnwood Care Center over in Tiffin. A workplace address anywhere in the 44830 ZIP code wants the business name written above the street.

An apartment number is the other thing that gets left off. Tiffin has more of them than the four smaller towns put together, and an order for 44883 without a unit on it is the most common reason an arrangement goes back out the way it came in.

Five Towns Between Tiffin and Attica

Seneca County covers 551 square miles of flat northwest Ohio and holds about 54,730 people. Tiffin is the seat and carries 44883. Fostoria straddles the county line at 44830, and the three smaller towns take a ZIP code apiece.

Attica holds 44807 in the southeast, Bloomville holds 44818, and Bettsville holds 44815 to the northwest. Each of the five keeps its own listing under this Seneca County, OH page, with the streets and the named places that belong to it.

Five towns across 551 square miles is thin settlement by Ohio standards, and it shows in the driving. An Attica address in one corner and a Bettsville address in the other are rarely on the same part of a day's run, even though both work to the same ordering hour.

A Birthday Order for Bettsville

A birthday is the one occasion where the hour is chosen rather than forced. Sent to a house in Bettsville, flowers do better arriving in the morning; sent to a workplace in Tiffin, they do better arriving before anyone starts thinking about going home.

Mann Hare Hoening Funeral Home and Crematory in Fostoria handles the other end of the calendar, and a sympathy order there is judged on size rather than on brightness. A standing piece needs floor space that a small chapel may not have.

Whichever way the order goes, flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, the shape or the value of the arrangement. A Bloomville order in February is not a smaller order than a Bloomville order in June.

The 1 PM Deadline at Tiffin

Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time reach a Tiffin or Attica address the same business day. All five Seneca County ZIP codes run on Eastern time, so a sender two zones west should treat the deadline as mid-morning at home rather than early afternoon.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday at each of the five Seneca County, OH towns, Sunday delivery is not available, and the flowers land between 9 AM and 7 PM. An order taken on Saturday for 44807 is a Monday delivery.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it is sent to whoever paid, at no extra charge, and for a 44815 address on a road with no near neighbors that photo is the only account of what actually turned up.

West of the Seneca County line Hancock County, OH takes over, and to the north Sandusky County, OH begins. Counties beyond Tiffin and Fostoria are gathered at the Ohio delivery index, and the shapes are at the full catalog.
