Tioga County, NY Flowers Delivered

Waverly, Apalachin and Two More Towns

Waverly at the western end and Apalachin at the eastern one are the two names most senders arrive with. Tioga Terrace and Crest View Heights hold the other two pages, and each carries the postal code that belongs to it.

Owego is the seat, sitting between them on the river. Three postal codes for 519 square miles is a thin spread, so an order that gives a road name as well as a town name is an order that arrives on the first attempt.

This is one of the smaller pages in New York by both count and area, and that is an advantage rather than a shortcoming. Four towns and three postal codes can be described properly, where a county with a hundred towns can only be listed.

Apalachin and the 1 PM Hour

Same-day flowers anywhere in Tioga County have to be ordered before 1 PM Eastern time, and the hour belongs to the recipient rather than to the sender. From the west coast it falls before lunch, which is the detail that trips up most out-of-state orders.

Flower deliveries run Monday through Saturday to the three Tioga County postal codes, 13732, 13760 and 14892, Sunday delivery is not available at any address in Tioga County, and the window on the six working days is between 9 AM and 7 PM.

An order that arrives after the hour is held rather than dropped, and it goes out the next working day. Because there is no Sunday run, an order late on a Saturday becomes a Monday delivery in every one of the four towns.

A Get Well Order for Waverly

Elderwood at Waverly is the one named care home on this page, and flowers sent there go to a front desk rather than to a resident's door. A compact arrangement suits a room shelf; a tall one gets moved somewhere else within a day.

A get well piece and a birthday piece want different things. The first should be small enough to live beside a bed, and the second can be as large as the room it is going into will take.

Seasonal supply changes what is possible from one month to the next. If a stem cannot be had, another of the same kind stands in and the size, the shape and the value all hold. Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it is sent back.

Waverly sits right on the southern edge of Tioga County, which matters for a same-day order more than it looks. An address at the western end and one at the eastern end are the two ends of a valley rather than two sides of a town.

Sympathy Flowers Beyond Owego

A sympathy order is the one place where the timing question is not about the cutoff at all. It is about the viewing, and a call to the funeral home for that hour is worth more than any amount of margin on the order itself.

A standing piece belongs at the service and a smaller vase belongs at the house. The house piece has to survive a week of being watered and moved, and that is a different brief from a piece designed to be seen once.

Broome County, NY lies immediately to the east, and Chemung County, NY sits over to the west. Every NY county page is collected at the New York county index, and the full catalog sorts the same range by occasion.
