Ogdensburg Orders, Picking a Size

Choose the size before the color. A piece bought from a photo on a phone screen is often twice the height of the shelf it is meant for, and in a care home room at Ogdensburg there is no second surface to move it to.

Low and wide suits a table, a bedside and a reception counter. Upright suits a floor stand and a church aisle. Very little suits both, and the choice gets easier if the room is pictured first and the flowers second.

Color comes third, and it is the decision that travels worst over the phone. A description of a room is more useful than a description of a bouquet, because the piece has to live in that room for a fortnight after it arrives.

Eight Towns Across 2,680 Square Miles

Ogdensburg on the river, Star Lake down in the forest, Norwood in the middle and Heuvelton to the west are four of the eight town pages here. Brasher Falls, Hailesboro, Hannawa Falls and Winthrop hold the remainder.

The ten postal codes on this page run from 13613 up to 13697, and they cover a distance no other page in New York has to cover. About 106,198 people live in St. Lawrence County, which is why an address without a road name is an address that costs an hour.

St. Lawrence County has four named medical and care places in the record for this page, and three of the four sit at Ogdensburg on the water. The fourth is out at Star Lake, an hour and more from the other three.

A Substituted Stem at Norwood

This far north the growing season is short, and the list of what can be had in January is not the list from July. When a stem is unavailable, another of the same type goes in and the size, the shape and the value of the arrangement all hold.

Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it is sent to the person who ordered it, at Ogdensburg or anywhere else on this page. For a sender two zones away that image is the whole of the proof, and it costs nothing.

The 1 PM Deadline at Winthrop

Same-day orders anywhere in St. Lawrence County have to be placed before 1 PM Eastern time, and the hour belongs to the address rather than to the sender. Ordering from the west at nine in the morning already puts you past it.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday to all ten St. Lawrence County postal codes, Sunday delivery is not available anywhere between Heuvelton and Star Lake, and the window on working days is between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Arrangements for Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center at Ogdensburg go to a reception desk, as do those for Clifton-Fine Hospital out at Star Lake. Sympathy pieces and hospital pieces are different shapes, and a compact vase is the safer answer for a patient room.

Anything sent to St Josephs Home wants the resident's full name on the card, since a first name alone is not enough at a front desk. The same is true at St Lawrence Psychiatric Center, where deliveries are logged before they go any further.

Jefferson County, NY lies away to the south west, and Franklin County, NY sits alongside to the east. The rest of New York is collected at the New York county hub, and the full catalog sorts every design by occasion instead of by place.
