Send Flowers to Lewis County, NY

The part of a Lewis County order most senders never expect is the photo: once the florist has made the arrangement, a picture of it is sent, at no extra charge, and for an address in a county of 26,570 people that is the only look you get.

Seasonal Stems at Lowville

What is in that photo depends on the week. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist actually has, and in a Lewis County winter that is a real constraint rather than a formality, but the type of arrangement holds: no change to the size, the shape or the value.

That is worth knowing before you choose a design rather than after. A stem that is easy in June at Lyons Falls may not be there in February, and the substitute is chosen to sit as close to the ordered piece as the cooler allows. Say in the order note if one particular flower is the whole point of the gift, and the florist will either work to it or say so before the piece is made.

Three Towns and a Long Valley

Only three towns here carry pages of their own: Copenhagen in the north, Lyons Falls further down the river and Port Leyden below it. Their ZIP codes are 13626, 13368 and 13433, and between them they cover a strip of the 1,275 square miles Lewis County runs to.

Lowville is the seat and is not one of those three, which catches people out; an order for the seat goes in as a county address like any other. The rest is farms and long roads, and in this part of New York a house number without a landmark is the commonest cause of a second attempt.

Pick a Height for Copenhagen

Height first, color second. A tall vase needs a floor or a wide sill, and a farmhouse kitchen at Copenhagen usually has the second rather than the first. The full range is sorted by shape and size, which is the fastest way to decide when you have never seen the room.

For a service, a standing piece belongs where people will gather in Lowville or Port Leyden, and a smaller arrangement is the one that goes home with the family afterwards. Nothing here needs a vase the household then has to find room for. A hall at Lowville and a front room at Copenhagen are different problems, and the note is what tells them apart.

Same Day Orders at Port Leyden

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time reaches a Lewis County, NY address the same working day, and deliveries land between 9 AM and 7 PM. Delivery runs Monday through Saturday and Sunday is not available, which in a county this size means a Monday service is a Saturday order.

Across the 1,275 square miles of Lewis County the round trip is long, so a problem raised inside three days is easier to put right than one raised later, and a refund or a partial credit is sometimes the sensible answer. Jefferson County, NY lies north west, and the rest of the state is listed at flower delivery by New York county.
