Smithfield, VA Flower Delivery, Hand-Delivered

Sending sympathy to Little's Funeral Home

Little's Funeral Home is listed in ZIP 23430, and flowers for a service there are addressed to the funeral home itself, with the family's name and the service time in the notes. The staff receive the arrangement, so a clear line on the card saying who it is from matters more than anything fancy.

Smithfield has one cemetery, and flowers for a burial are normally sent to the funeral director, not the grave. Smithfield flower delivery for a funeral is ordered the same way whichever home is handling the arrangements: the order names the person who died and the hour the service begins.

A standing arrangement or a sheaf of lilies takes the florist the same effort as a vase, and the choice is a matter of what the family will want to see in the room. Flower types may be substituted for what is on hand, with the size, shape and value of the arrangement unchanged.

Orders for Smithfield houses, offices and care rooms

With 8,537 residents counted in 2020, orders here go to houses, apartments, offices and care facilities, and each needs a different line in the address. Flower delivery in Smithfield, VA works best when the order says which kind of place the flowers are heading to, and a Smithfield florist can then plan the stop.

Riverside Lifelong Health and Rehab Smithfield is a nursing home in ZIP 23430, and an order for it should say so. A gift for a resident needs the resident's full name and room number on the order, and a small arrangement in a low vase is easier to place by a bedside than a tall one.

Land covers about ten square miles, so the town is not tiny, and the order should always include a street number. Delivery hours run between 9 AM and 7 PM, and a preferred hour can be requested in the notes, though it stays a request.

Shivers Funeral Chapel and the way the notice reads

Shivers Funeral Chapel is the other funeral home in the briefs for this town, also in ZIP 23430. If the notice names it, the order goes there, and if the notice names a church, the order goes to the church. Reading the notice twice is the best protection against a wrong address.

Sympathy flowers to Smithfield families can also go to the house, and a sender may order flowers for both places. A sender who is unsure should phone the funeral director for the exact address, since a florist cannot reach a service that is held somewhere the order does not name.

Sunday delivery is not available, so a service on Monday morning needs its flowers sent for Saturday, and an order placed on a Saturday needs to be in before 1 PM Eastern time.

Saturday for a Smithfield birthday that lands on a Sunday

Sunday delivery is not available, and a birthday on that day leaves two choices: flowers on Saturday, a day early, or on Monday, a day late. The order has to be in before 1 PM Eastern time on the day it is meant to go out.

Some people want the surprise to arrive on the date itself, and for those orders a Saturday delivery with a card that says open on Sunday works well. Others prefer Monday, when the office or the school day has started and the flowers are a lift.

An order for Smithfield VA is typed the same way for every occasion: the street, the ZIP, which is 23430 or 23431, and a short note about when someone is home. Same day flower delivery in Smithfield asks for the order before 1 PM Eastern time, so a Saturday gift should be ordered by that hour on Saturday morning.

Welcoming a newborn on the family's schedule

New-baby flowers arrive best when somebody is home, and the notes can say so as a request. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, and the size, shape and value of the arrangement stay the same.

Anyone who wants to send flowers to Smithfield for a new baby can pick a small arrangement in soft colors, since a nursery has little room. The photo of the finished arrangement is sent to the buyer after the florist has made it, at no extra charge.

Other places with the same name complicate nothing here, since an order that says Virginia and ZIP 23430 or 23431 cannot be mixed up with towns of the same name in North Carolina, Pennsylvania or Utah. Once an order is placed for the wrong state, the flowers cannot be brought back.

Which address a sympathy order needs

A sympathy order has two possible addresses: the place where the service is held, and the family's home. The notice normally says which, and the order should say the same. A bouquet for the house arrives Monday through Saturday, between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Florists near Smithfield work from the address in the order, and flower deliveries to a service depend on it, so the notes should say who is receiving the flowers and, for a service, the time it begins. A Smithfield florist arranges the flowers by hand, and flowers sent for a funeral should carry a plain card.

The Virginia delivery page lists the other towns, and Isle of Wight County, VA has its own page, with Southampton County, VA next to it. The arrangement catalog shows sympathy designs, and Windsor, VA, Carrollton, VA and Benns Church, VA have their own delivery pages for nearby orders. Anyone hoping to find a flower shop in Smithfield will find an order form instead, with a local florist behind it.
