Flowers Across Manitowoc County, WI

Ten Towns On The Lakeshore

Manitowoc County covers 589 square miles, and the ten towns gathered here run from Kiel on the inland edge out to Two Rivers on the water. Ten ZIP codes cover them, 54220 and 53042 among them, and the codes do not follow the town lines.

The city of Manitowoc has a page of its own, distinct from this one: Manitowoc lists the streets inside the city, while this page is the index for every town in the county. If you know the town already, its own listing is the shorter route.

Choose By Room, Not By Flower

Order before 1 PM Central time for same-day flower delivery to any Manitowoc County address, and say in the notes what room the piece is going into. A kitchen counter in Valders and a reception desk in the city take different shapes even when the occasion is identical.

Color is easier to ask for than a named stem, and it survives the drive better. A florist working a small cooler can meet a request for something white and low far more reliably than a request for one particular variety, and the result looks closer to what the sender pictured. White also reads as sympathy in one room and as congratulation in another, so the occasion on the order does as much work as the color does.

Sympathy Flowers For Reedsville Families

Pielhop Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville and Holy Family Memorial in the county seat take deliveries against a named service, and the service time decides the order time rather than the other way around. Give the name of the person who died on the card, because a funeral home may hold several services in a day.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday across the ten Manitowoc County towns, Sunday delivery is not available, and arrivals fall between 9 AM and 7 PM. A service held on the Sunday in Mishicot therefore has to be met by a Saturday arrival, which pushes the order back to the Friday. Sending to the family home on the Monday instead is the other workable answer, and it often lands better.

Substitution In A Lakeshore Winter

Between November and April the cooler decides more than the catalog does. A named flower can be substituted for what the nearest florist actually holds, while the type of arrangement keeps the size, the shape and the value it was ordered at. Once the arrangement is finished, a photo of it goes to the sender, so a family two states away sees what reached the room in Manitowoc County.

Wisconsin winters near the lake are also why height is worth a thought. Something tall in a car on a windy stretch of shoreline road arrives less well than something low and wide, and the low piece fits a hospital tray table better anyway. The full catalog is arranged by occasion rather than by stem.

An arrival in Whitelaw or Francis Creek that is not right has three days to be raised, and the outcome is a replacement, a refund or a partial credit rather than a second run the same afternoon. Sheboygan County, WI carries the shoreline south of here and Kewaunee County, WI the towns to the north, while the state index sits at Wisconsin county flower delivery.
