Send Flowers Across Albany County, NY

Albany County and the city of Albany are separate pages here, and the city page carries its own ZIP list and its own detail. Thirteen towns and villages sit under this one, spread over 523 square miles of eastern New York.

The 1 PM Line and Albany Offices

An order placed before 1 PM Eastern time is worked the same business day, at 12208 near the medical blocks or at 12009 out in the hill villages. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and an arrival at a downtown code falls between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Sunday delivery is not available in any of the fifty ZIP codes, so a weekend occasion is covered by a Saturday arrival. State office addresses are their own case: a piece that lands at the far end of the window finds an empty desk, so an order for one of them is better placed in the morning.

Fifty ZIP codes is an unusual number for 523 square miles, and it is an artifact of how many of them belong to single buildings downtown. A sender who has a numeric code and no street is often better served by the town page than by this one, where the ZIP list runs to fifty entries.

A Thank You for Loudonville

Birthdays, thank yous and new babies account for most of what goes out here. A thank you to a house in Loudonville is straightforward. A congratulation to a dorm at Siena College needs a name the front desk will recognize, and a birthday at a workplace needs the floor or the suite.

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with the size, the shape and the value of the arrangement left alone. A photo of the finished piece is sent at no extra charge once the florist has built it, which settles the question of what was actually delivered. The arrangement range shows the shapes each design comes in.

Thirteen Towns Under One Name

Beyond the city, the list takes in Cohoes and Watervliet on the water, Altamont and Voorheesville out west, and Menands, Latham, Westmere and Ravena in between. Each has a page beneath this one.

Albany Medical Center Hospital is the single largest delivery address on this page, and an order for a patient there wants the unit and the room rather than the street number. Green Island and Roessleville round out the thirteen towns. Albany County is compact enough that none of them is far from another, which is the opposite of the problem most county pages on this site describe.

Nearby Cohoes, Menands and Westmere

Albany County touches five others. Rensselaer County, NY lies across the river to the east, and Schenectady County, NY begins a short way to the north west. The New York county delivery index lists them all, and Albany County is the entry with fifty ZIP codes under it.

Sympathy work has its own rhythm. Daniel Keenan Funeral Home in Albany and Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Cohoes both work to a calling hour rather than to a delivery window, so the service time is what an order needs to be built around, not the 1 PM Eastern time cutoff alone.
