Same Day Flowers Across Hudson County, NJ

The question that decides a Hudson County order is not which arrangement to pick but what hour it is where the recipient lives. Orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time go out to a Bayonne or Kearny address on the same working day, and the clock that counts is the one on the wall in New Jersey rather than the one the sender is watching.

Hudson County holds 736,185 people inside 46 square miles, the densest ground any page on this site has to describe. Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday, Sunday is not available at any address in NJ, and the arrival window is between 9 AM and 7 PM.

The Ten Towns of Hudson

Ten town listings sit beneath this page. Hoboken and Jersey City hold the ZIP codes along the western bank, Bayonne runs down the peninsula, and Secaucus sits inland under the 07094 ZIP code. Guttenberg, Harrison, East Newark, Kearny and West New York each keep listings as well.

Jersey City is the county seat and the busiest of the ten. A tenth floor apartment there is a different delivery problem from a two family house in Harrison, so the order form asks which one it is, and the florist who takes the run is told before setting off.

Substitution and the Secaucus Order

Flower types are substituted for whatever the florist has on hand that morning, which on ground this tight is a question of the day's market rather than the drive. What does not move is the arrangement itself: a Secaucus order keeps the size, the shape and the value that was paid for.

A photo of the finished arrangement reaches the sender once the florist has made it, at no extra charge. That matters more in Union City than in most places, since a stoop, a doorman and a fifth floor landing all read alike on an order form. Sizes are easiest to compare in the catalog first.

The 1 PM Line for Hoboken

Same day service inside the county turns on that single hour. An order for a 07030 address in Hoboken entered at 12:30 PM is a same day order; the same order entered at two in the afternoon becomes the first run of the next working day. Hudson orders are never held over a Sunday, so a Monday need is placed on Saturday.

Senders on the west coast have the harder version of the problem, because 1 PM here is mid morning there and the day closes earlier than it feels. A morning order from two time zones away lands comfortably, and an afternoon one does not.

Hospital, Workplace and Apartment Addresses

Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus accepts flowers for patients, and so do the wards and offices at the other named places across these ten towns. A room number belongs on the order, because a tall arrangement left at a reception desk tends to stay at the reception desk.

Work addresses often close ahead of 7 PM, so an office delivery is safer booked early in the day. Bergen County, NJ sits to the north and Essex County, NJ lies to the west, each with a page of its own, and the New Jersey index lists the rest.
