Hicksville, NY Flower Delivery by a Florist

A sender in another state has one practical question about this place: what time must the order be placed by? The answer is 1 PM, counted on the recipient's clock, and the clock here is Eastern. Flower delivery in Hicksville, NY depends on that hour more than on anything else about the order.

Same day flower delivery in Hicksville works for orders placed before 1 PM Eastern time. A sender on Central time sees the line at noon on a home clock, one on Mountain time at 11 AM, and one on the Pacific coast at 10 AM. An order that misses the line is made up for the next delivery day.

Hicksville flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday, and Sunday delivery is not available. A preferred hour can be requested in the notes, though it can never be promised, and the arrangement is handed over between 9 AM and 7 PM by a florist near the recipient.

Hicksville flowers and four ZIP codes

This is a census-designated place of 43,869 people in 2020, so it has no town government of its own, and a house here may carry another town on its mail. Four ZIP codes, 11801, 11802, 11805 and 11815, appear for this area, and the one on the recipient's mail is the one for the order.

The land area is about seven square miles, so an order may go to a house, an apartment door or an office. The notes should name the unit and the door, and a sender who is guessing at the ZIP should ask for a line from a letter.

Typing florist in Hicksville into a search engine leads to an order form, with florists near Hicksville doing the hand work. People who look for a flower shop in Hicksville will not find a counter here, and a sender can order flowers from any distance.

Orders for another Hicksville

Ohio has a place of the same name too, and flowers ordered for the wrong one end up in the wrong state. The form should read New York and one of the four ZIP codes, and a sender who has ordered for another state should read the state field twice.

Plainview, NY, Jericho, NY and Bethpage, NY are the nearest named neighbors, and Levittown, NY is close as well. A recipient may use any of them for a home, so the mailing line is worth asking for.

Funeral homes and the service hour

Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes is a funeral home in the 11801 ZIP, and flowers for a service there are addressed to the funeral home with the hour in the notes. Funeral flowers in Hicksville are best placed a day ahead, since a service hour does not move.

Hicksville has no cemetery on record, so sympathy flowers to Hicksville go to the service or to the family's house. A standing piece belongs at the service, and a plant or a small vase belongs at the house, where it will be seen for days.

Nassau, seat and neighbors

Mineola is the seat of Nassau County, NY, which holds this place, and Suffolk County, NY lies alongside it. Mineola is also a separate stop for delivery, so a sender who writes it for an address here has named the wrong town; the street and ZIP carry the address.

Flowers delivered across the county line keep the same week and the same hand delivery, and the cutoff is counted on the recipient's clock. A Hicksville birthday order for a relative on the other side works the same way as one for this side.

A birthday on a Sunday

When the birthday is on a Sunday, the gift has to come a day early or a day late. Saturday arrival means ordering earlier in the week or before 1 PM Eastern time that morning; Monday arrival means a card that admits the delay, and flowers delivered on Monday still land well.

A Saturday order placed before 1 PM Eastern time that morning can still arrive between 9 AM and 7 PM, and an earlier order leaves room to correct an address. The photo of the finished piece reaches the sender before the party.

A new baby and quiet hours

Feeds and naps decide the hours in a house with a newborn. A note on when the household is usually awake helps whoever brings the flowers, and an hour of choice is a request only.

A compact vase or a plant suits a crowded table, and the catalog shows each design at several sizes. Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change in the size, shape or value of the piece.

A resident's bedside flowers

For a patient or a care-home resident, the order needs the name the home uses, the ward or unit and, when it is known, the room. Space beside a bed is limited, so a compact arrangement is the better choice.
