McDowell County, NC Flower Delivery

Addresses In Marion And Old Fort

McDowell County, NC is 440 square miles of valley floor and mountain in western North Carolina, and an address here is as likely to be a gravel drive off a state road as a numbered street. A landmark in the notes beats a second attempt.

The Mcdowell Hospital in Marion takes flowers at the desk with a room number, and Autumn Care of Marion is a residential address where the resident name does more work than the street. Deer Park Health and Rehabilitation sits out at Nebo.

Beam Funeral Service and Crematory, Kirksey Funeral Home and Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory all sit in the seat, and each of them works to a service hour rather than to a delivery window.

An apartment in West Marion needs a unit number on the address line. A workplace in Old Fort needs a department, and a house up a hollow needs whatever the mailbox actually says on it.

Seasonal Swaps On The Ridge

Flower types may be substituted for what the florist has on hand, with no change to the size, shape or value of the arrangement, and in a county of 45,269 people that is the difference between a Thursday delivery and a Monday one.

A photo of the finished arrangement is sent once the florist has made it, at no extra charge, so a sender two zones away sees what landed at a 28752 address without having to ask about it.

Old Fort sits at the foot of the grade and Nebo out by the water, so what is easy to reach in July is not always as easy in January.

Winter is the one caveat worth stating outright. Ice on the roads above Old Fort can move a same day order to the next working day, and saying so here is better than a surprise later on.

Four Towns, One Narrow Valley

Four towns hold pages beneath this one. Marion is the seat, Old Fort sits east at the foot of the grade, Nebo lies west toward the lake and West Marion adjoins the seat.

Four ZIP codes cover them, 28752 around the seat and 28737, 28761 and 28762 around the rest. McDowell County, NC is compact enough that one florist run can take in all four of them in an afternoon.

Nebo is a short drive east toward the water, and the town page is the faster route in once a street name is known rather than only a town.

Burke County, NC begins east of Nebo and Buncombe County, NC lies west over the grade, with every North Carolina county listed on the state county index.

The 1 PM Hour In Marion

An order for a McDowell County address placed before 1 PM Eastern time is worked the same business day, which for a sender in the Pacific zone means a mid morning decision rather than an afternoon one.

Flower delivery runs Monday through Saturday in Old Fort, Marion, Nebo and West Marion, Sunday delivery is not available, and arrivals land between 9 AM and 7 PM.

Nine hours is the width the geography allows. An address at Old Fort and one out past Nebo sit on opposite sides of McDowell County, NC, and no single hour serves both. Sizes and occasions are laid out in the full catalog.
