Delivery to 5,757 residents: houses, apartments and offices

The 2020 census counted 5,757 residents, with a land area a little over four square miles, so orders here go to houses, to apartments and to small offices in about equal measure. For a house, a street and a number are enough; for an apartment, add the unit; for an office, add the company and the department. A sender who knows the building can say which entrance is used and who is likely to be there.

A birthday bouquet for an East Flat Rock household or a thank-you for a coworker is carried by hand between 9 AM and 7 PM, so someone has to be there to take it. A wish for a certain hour can go in the notes as a wish, though it is never promised.

What a florist near East Flat Rock may swap

A different stem may stand in for one the florist does not have, but the arrangement keeps its size, its shape and its value. A sender who loves one variety can name it and then accept a near match. Color requests are read as requests.

That policy is why the catalog picture is a guide and not a contract. A sender can still describe the mood of the gift, such as bright for a birthday or soft for a thank-you. To order flowers with a particular look, say what matters most in the notes: the color, the height or the fullness. The florist reads those and works from them.

The photo a sender gets once the bouquet is made

After the local florist makes the arrangement, a photo of the finished piece is sent to the sender at no extra charge. It shows the real bouquet, built for this order, not a stock image.

For a sender far away, the photo settles any doubt about size and color, and it can be forwarded to the recipient as a heads-up. A sender who has seen the finished bouquet has little left to worry about, and the recipient hears that flowers sent today are on the way.

A plant or cut stems for an East Flat Rock home

A potted plant outlasts cut flowers on a windowsill, and it suits a recipient who has little time for water changes. Cut stems give the quick lift of a bouquet and suit a birthday or an anniversary better. For a recovering patient or a small kitchen, a little plant often fits.
